I saw some framed quilts at International Quilt Market in Pittsburgh and couldn't wait to make a small quilt to put in this vintage frame.
A self portrait of me is part of an exhibition at the local photo printing service shop. My two-months moment of fame :-)

"Filling the frame" with this Day Lily makes the pollen-laden stamens jump out..

adjusted in digital photo professional by canon, film grain effect and black frame added with photoshop cs3 by adobe.
A filtered rarity, All exposure and lighting work done in camera, the monochrome is the only post-part.
I'm not big on filters, even the monochrome tint ones, but I thought the green monochrome was more effective than the original B&W I was going for. I don't see much monochrome LP work, and would like to produce more of it.
Didn't make it out tonight so here's an old 'junker'.

I love these purple Tibouchina flowers, the middle almost looks like an alien or a sea creature. I think this fills the frame.

This started out as a completely different idea for an artillery frame and sort of evolved into this super-heavy monstrosity you see now. Somewhere, there was a line. Clearly, I have crossed it.
It's too big to ever field in MF0, but it's similar enough to other Ijad frames that I suppose it COULD exist in the setting. If it's not appropriate for the group, I'll remove it.
Nikon F3 HP w/ AF Nikkor 24mm 1:2.8D and Fujifilm Neopan Acros (Kodak D76 1:1, Ilford rapid fixer). f/11, 1/60s. Plustek Opticfilm 8100 and Silverfast SE Plus 8.2 @ 3600 dpi. Retouched and cropped.
It was cold and godforsakenly windy. It was an afternoon full of waiting for the right moments. I guess it was worth it.
I wanted to buy a TMAX 100 in 35mm but they were sold out, so I had to take a roll from my Acros stash instead.

Lighting info:
Large softbox to camera left, shoot through umbrella to camera right, white backdrop.
I found a roll of film in my luggage which I shot last year with an Olympus Pen D half frame camera
of the 60s. I'm liking how the prints turned out, but I did get a call from the lab tech asking if it was ok to print two shots on one 4 x 6 print :D I thrifted the compact Olympus for $4 and am looking forward to some summer diptych fun.
Yesterday I got a great Christmas present. The new number of One Frame magazine is out. my work is at page 36-37
