I spent about 90 mins following this handsome fellow around the meadow at RMNP. I had to backup to get him in the frame!
Between massive boulders, a narrow opening reveals the turquoise lake far below, framed by glaciers and peaks. A hidden window into the vast alpine world.
The Kraken Always Follows Its Heart
This original screenprint was made from a design I created based on the saying above. I also made up the saying, but it's a well-crafted adage whynot. What inspires mythical creatures from the sea? Deep down, we know its love (or hunger? evil? Let's pretend)

My flickr friends, I will be going away next week for about two weeks, perhaps without much time and chance to access flickr. Thought I'll leave you with a series of photos I've taken of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur over a period of time.
I found a roll of film in my luggage which I shot last year with an Olympus Pen D half frame camera
of the 60s. I'm liking how the prints turned out, but I did get a call from the lab tech asking if it was ok to print two shots on one 4 x 6 print :D I thrifted the compact Olympus for $4 and am looking forward to some summer diptych fun.
Old market Omaha Nebraska, this lady was nice enough to stop while carrying this frame to let me get the shot, her daughter smiling in the background.
Macro Monday: Theme - Framed
Happy Macro Monday!
I've been so crazy busy that I almost didn't post this week. I haven't missed a MM challenge since joining the group, but due to time issues I resolved to skip this week. Well I started getting really shaky and nervous about an hour ago and it's starting to affect my productivity.
Withdrawal symptoms. I need help. Really.
Lucky for me I travel with my external drive and found an image in my archives. I like the way it's framed by the light and dof.
Have a great Monday!
