I'm so sorry partner -- somehow I got mixed up on the due date and thought that today was the day to mail -- not Tuesday last. At least I did finish by the day that I thought I needed to finish. And I will get the pouch on its way to you by the end of the day today (have to wait for my husband to get home with the car so that I can get to the post office). I hope you love it enough that you don't mind the bit of extra wait!

A private Tudor manor house with a C12th moat and medieval fishponds. The gardens are open in the summer.

It was built c.1538 by Martin Hastings, courtier to Henry Fitzroy, Henry VIIIs illegitimate son. It was restored by Gerald Gosselin of Bengeo Hall in Hertfordshire in 1900.

One of the most peaceful places on earth is McCall, Idaho. If you ever get a chance to visit...please do! This shot is taken south of McCall in Roseberry, Idaho. "Roseberry, Idaho is an old Finnish settlement. The Finns settled there in the late 19th century after fleeing the oppressive Russian empire who occupied Finland at the time. It is a source of local pride and a part of Idaho history." Still standing is a whitewashed mercantile, church and school building and stories are told of harsh winters and the demise of this little town. And, if you're looking to photograph barns, the Long Valley is famous for them and information is given at the Roseberry visitor center on the many types of barns constructed in the area.

I began this project to play with framing. This is my first real attempt and thanks to bossbob50 for his help.

Looking through the bird hide at the Growling Frog Golf Course.

Taken at Seewri Fort. It seems birds love to be framed. I am not a bird-shooter but tried few today.

Framed by the King Street road bridge, Adelaide Metro 'Jumbo' railcars 2103/ 2001/2101 wait to depart Gawler Central with the 1717hrs service to Adelaide on 4 March 2015.

The 2000/2100 railcars were introduced 35 years ago and 2015 is expected to be their last year of service with 11 cars forming 3 sets currently serviceable (March 2015).

They are used on Gawler line morning and evening peak services, with the occasional morning peak hour foray to Outer Harbor.

EDIT. The last were withdrawn in August 2015 and all but 5 cars scrapped in June 2016.

Framed one of my newer pieces. Looks great in my office. Found a standard long fame in my local craft store. What do you think? The actual image is about 18" long.

ODC2 Negative space

I purchased a frame today to frame anything that I like during my photo shoots. I don't like to frame my pictures but I love pictures of frame.

Anyways. Here is the first of a series of many ( 3 more in my stream!!). This is not my favorite but it reflects very well the spirit of negative space.

I reflected a lot on negative space today. We all need it. Negative space is the chosen space for creativity. I have been feeling tired and sick lately and I think it's because I don't have enough negative space in my life. Space to create, space to dream. Every corner of the house, every corner of my head are full of junk. So i started by cleaning up the office space that looks more like a crowded closet. And empty my crowded brain in the process. That's when I had this idea for the challenge. A frame of grass. Grass that goes beyond the frame.....The freedom that negative space can give you is widely underrated. I stop there....I think you get it. See in black, it's full of green grass.

For the Sunday challenge - Naturally framed with processing.

I had to dig out an old picture to play around with as the weather here is cold and grey.

I've played around with the colours and added the fence as an extra frame.

Nikon F3 HP w/ AF Nikkor 85mm 1:1.8D and Fujifilm Neopan Acros (Kodak D76 1:1, Ilford rapid fixer). f/2.8, 1/500s. Plustek Opticfilm 8100 and Silverfast SE Plus 8.2 @ 3600 dpi. Retouched and cropped.

First time ever shooting at the beach. Luckily not that many people were there, due to the slightly overcast weather. Also, it was the first time that the batteries of the F3 died. Thankfully it didn't effect the shoot much.

This was actually a test shot of the talented Mike Jacobs before he did some martial arts kicks. I like this for its menacing comicbook like feel as he is being back lit byspeedlights behind him that rim light and give the dramatic shadows..

Thank you ***

Sometimes you just see a backdrop that is so gorgeous and full of painting quality that you just need to frame it. :D

I love the grass in Emily's hair. Can you see it? The little details are what makes images special to me and I also hope, for you to. :)
