This was actually a test shot of the talented Mike Jacobs before he did some martial arts kicks. I like this for its menacing comicbook like feel as he is being back lit byspeedlights behind him that rim light and give the dramatic shadows..
strobist 411: one sb800 camera left, as seen bare on a stand, another sb800 is camera right obscured by the metal frames also bare. Triggered with pocket wizards.
Composite of three images.
One light setup. A Canon 580EX through octogonal softbox placed towards the right side of the camera for the main picture and for the one inside the bigger frame.
Two lights setup for the picture inside the smallest frame. A Canon 580EX through octogonal softbox placed towards the right side of the camera at 1/8th power and a Neewer flash bounced off of a white board placed towards the left of the camera at full power.
New, framed texture. I thought about calling this one "On Golden Pond" but then I changed my mind. :)

Taken on 4-19-15 near Mountain Springs Texas. A severe squall line came through north TX just before sundown. I enhanced the images in lightroom, but didnt crop anything. Also, I am out of catchy titles for my photos so I apologize for the generic names from the camera.

For this shot I used a Chinon 55mm f 1.4 multicoated Made in Japan (Passed Quality Check in 1962)This Lense is a Depth-of-Field-Monster and my absolute favorite.

Nikon F3 HP w/ AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8D and Kodak Tri-X 400 (Kodak D76 1:1, Ilford rapid fixer). f/1.8, 1/60s. Plustek Opticfilm 8100 and Silverfast SE Plus 8.2 @ 3600 dpi. Retouched and cropped.
From the second roll of this shoot. The cloudy weather got dark fairly quickly in the late afternoon. It was one of the last photos I could shoot hand-held, and I wasn't up for pushing the film in mid-roll! And I certainly didn't expect to get such magnificent legs with a mere fifty!

Picked this for the theme Framed.Spring is hatching here in Ireland. I was out yesterday in the lovely sunshine and could see lots of opportunities for pics in teh surrounding fields. Unfortunately lots of the fields are framed with 'barbed wire'. Certain parts of your anatomy are at risk should you decide to venture past.

This hole in a wall at the old Packard probably used to have some sort of exhaust pipe through it, but I thought it made for a nice frame for the last remaining Packard water tower in the distance.
Not sure where my EXIF data went on this. I took this picture a couple of months ago.
