This photo wasn't for angle, it was for framing. There are two big trees that are next to each other and it's hard to avoid having one or both grow out of the car.

The Baltic art gallery on the south bank of the river Tyne at Gateshead, seen here framed by the Millennium bridge.

My last handmade shoulder frame pouch, made with a cute japanese fabric :)

Sitting far back in Bar Italia in Frith Street, I spotted the Police Notice outside Ronny Scott’s with this couple on and off partially obstructing it. In addition, patrons and staff in Bar Italia moved inconsiderately in and out of the frame and kept blocking my view. When I finally got a clear shot of the sign, the couple helpfully did this little dance for me, almost perfectly framing the notice and illustrating what should not be done so that the pavement would be clear for passers-by.

Lots of things in life are obscured these days. Take this nice old timber framed house in the Cathedral Quarter of Lincoln in the UK. A fine looking building but it doesn't matter which way you look at it, the place is 'hidden' behind traffic lights or some other kind of 'street furniture'.

This happens to so many buildings and views, the life of a photographer is hindered by trying to either find the angle with the least amount of distractions, or just make do and add them to the image and hope they don't cause too much of a distraction.

I suppose you could sit there for ages and clone things out but in the end this is a record of the scene as it is in 2014 - traffic lights and all.....

A local juvenile Coopers Hawk enjoys a meal in a nearby tree. It watched intensely as I maneuvered to get this shot of it framed by the tree branches.

Khmer temple ruins are a framed feature in this ornate doorway, now leading to nothing much at all. Part of the small Banteay Srei temple complex, a short distance from the better known Angkor Wat. Built from warm, red sandstone, it was originally a 10th Century Hindu temple.

I just really, really wanted to use those green heads in this piece. (As a result, it falls apart from just looking at it too intensely.)

...Any of the other turtles might have been a better choice for a build, as I found I have a pretty narrow selection of violet pieces - but Donatello is my favorite.
