All wood frames dusted.

Finally have my fabric for 'Angled Frames' ORBC QAL 15. Kinda excited to see how this turns out!!!

The oak frames have been marinating in an elixor of linseed oil, turpentine, and pine tar for a couple of days. Then, in sets of 6 or so, they are sent to the stem box.

Here, we have the first 6 frames in place, with a ring nail into the keel and at least a couple of copper nails for the rivets at the turn of the bilge. As framing is a 2 man job, no time for the camera!

The frames will be riveted, as opposed to clench nails for the planks.

Here, Marie is hard at work riveting the frames. She's peening a rivet with a ball peen hammer.

These are the frames I scored at an estate sale.

OCA Textiles 1, section 2, isolating sections of images with a shaped frame

Each of these frames is one of a kind and made by me.

Looking at the finished frames (forward view). Eric will cut the ends of the frames running into the stern post to prevent a water gap. When the centerboard case is ready to be installed, Eric will make the final cuts to the frames running into the centerboard case, using the case as a guide.

Goteborg is not my dream city, but I want to share some of my best photos collected at Goteborg in last March. By Edgar Barreira

The two images are frames of a movie filmed in slow motion from a bus in Cambodia.

CROSSVIEW

To view 3D pics cross your eyes focusing between at the pictures until both images overlap one another in the middle.

Another view of the battens being laid down to line off the frames.

When the frame positions look good, we mark the positions at each lap and at the sheer, then pilot for the frame fastening at each lap.

Preparing some frames for upcoming exhibitions.

The aft frames have been lined off and we are lining off the forward frames.

The cedar battens have been wet down to make them more flexible. We bend them in place like a real frame, clamp them down at the sheer, make the final positioning by eye by gently knocking each batten into position with a stick.

Here's a straight-on shot of our new over the bed artwork. The frames are just from Target, but they look custom, which is really nice (they're a dark wood if you can't tell from the picture). The picture is one from our honeymoon that Ross split into three different sections. Then we framed each to make a dramatic panoramic shot.

After harvesting honey we have a few days of cleanup. The table is sticky, the towels are sticky, lots of mason jars need to be rinsed and re-rinsed with scolding hot water. Fortunately for us the bee's can help with some of this. After we harvest the honey from their frames we leave the empty hive frames in the bee area and they take care of cleaning the remaining honey.

My eye was caught by the general charm of the wall and the golden frames.

the wooden frames next stage is the cleaning process and then they are hand painted and lacquered.
