I was doing these double exposures for Gizmodo's contest, but I didn't get the roll done fast enough. This theme was "frames." So I just went around and found anything that was framing anything. Windows, screens, mirrors, televisions, computers. . .
pretty soon i shall post something thatz mine.
i have been using my pair of spectales over the last 10years and still I fail to accept the change. dunno why....
many a times i have hurt myself trying to splash water on my face w/ my glasses on. its such a high maintenance thing.
i guess there are somethings in life which we do not want to change.
anyway, its again a difficult week for me. would try to be around sometime in the week and catchup w/ your streams. if not have a good week ahead afterall just 3more days for the Friday. Did i say Friday....gosh!
Film (Expired)
So I haven't uploaded for a while even though I have tons of photos to edit and upload but I suck. This is old film from the museum... Much love
The oak frames have been marinating in an elixor of linseed oil, turpentine, and pine tar for a couple of days. Then, in sets of 6 or so, they are sent to the stem box.
Here, we have the first 6 frames in place, with a ring nail into the keel and at least a couple of copper nails for the rivets at the turn of the bilge. As framing is a 2 man job, no time for the camera!
The frames will be riveted, as opposed to clench nails for the planks.
Here is my newest pattern, Broken Frames. It is a wonderful pattern to use with a charm pack. The pattern includes baby, lap, and twin quilt sizes. The pattern is now available in my etsy and craftsy stores.
The quilt was made using Lucy's Crab Shack by Sweetwater for Moda and was quilted in an allover open paisley design. An picture of the quilting closeup is:

Here is another one of the metal carts that started life in a chicken farm. It has a 3/4 inch thick top of recycled plywood with distressed paint and a large " ampersand" painted on it.
The two lower shelves are wood frames covered with metal mesh and painted black.
Everything on this is made of reused / recycled materials.
Measurements are 25 inches wide x 36 long and 33 high, steel frame is on casters so it's easy to move around.
A neat piece for the patio, kitchen or as a base for the TV.
