One of the last good close-up opportunities I had of a resident barred owl last fall before the weather turned permanently nasty.
The owl was so close to the trail, minding its own business, that I was able to snap a couple frames with my macro lens.
Hoping for more opportunities come spring & summer!

Hello all.
I recently did an interview with FRAMES Magazine for their podcast.

Thank you, Austin
Nature is amazing. Some days you have to run behind her to get a glimpse. On other days she'll come to you with all colours blazing, when least expected.
During lockdown, from the very restricted view of my window, nature surprised me with this perfect pose.

Pre-sunset pano of Lake Manly in Death Valley National Park, with a mirror still surface. This is about a 150° view, using 10 of the 13 vertical frames I shot. You can barely make out 4 photographers and one more on the way at far right at the end of the trail from the Badwater parking area. I've been in the park during 2005 and 2010 when the lake had water, but it just wasn't on my radar. I'm sure glad I went to see it this time.
A large collection of stacked yellow metal frames with what looked like foam beds on the base of each one. I puzzled over their function. If they were beds, they were too small for adult humans and too wide for children. About the right size for a large dog. I give up.
HEEEEY SNOBS!

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them, however! Thanks again!!
Greenwich Market, England. Yes, there's distortion in the pic but the mirrored cabinet drawer really was that shape.
