The Wabash Heritage Unit leads light power off NS Train 21T as it heads for Avondale Yard, using Main Track 2 on the NS Kansas City District-BNSF Brookfield Sub. This corridor is commonly referred to as the "Auto Artery", and this ACe cannonballing into town past Ford truck frames in the background certainly drives that nickname home.

A large collection of stacked yellow metal frames with what looked like foam beds on the base of each one. I puzzled over their function. If they were beds, they were too small for adult humans and too wide for children. About the right size for a large dog. I give up.

A wellie boot-filling morning yesterday at Porthcurno! 😂
The steep beach face made the sometimes large waves unpredictable... But I needed to position myself close to the rocks to get the composition I was after.
For the most part, I managed to play chicken pretty well - nipping out between the large wave sets, composing, focusing and rattling off a few frames before retreating back up the beach - chased by a crashing wave. But... it only took one or two misjudgements or pushing my luck to get soaked!
This photo is a composite of three - taken from the same stint only several seconds apart between the big waves. I wanted to show the splash to the left of frame, the curling wave and water rushing over the rocks in the same picture.
Oh... and I saw a seal!

Made from 15 light frames (captured with a SONY camera) by Starry Landscape Stacker 1.6.2. Algorithm: Mean
Small birds in flight are always challenging subjects as they move so quickly. The key here was preparation and anticipation. Using Pro capture mode shooting at 60 frames per second I pre focussed in anticipation of the area the bird would fly when leaving the bird feeder. The tricky bit is having enough dof to get the whole bird in focus as the subject moves out of the focal plane very quickly. A bit of luck is needed but I have quite a high success rate using this method
