This newly formed Senior Wrestling League competition was between City of Manchester Wrestling Club and Bolton Olympic Wrestling Club.
It was held at the Wrestling Academy on Saturday 17th December 2022
Bolton gained the win!
City of Manchester - 13 Bolton - 32
This is part of the two pilot leagues which were launching in September 22.
This could be a huge step for the development of wrestling in this country. If successful with our pilot season this could lead to the launch of a nationwide league launching in every region of the UK by the end of 2023.

L.A. Guns is a hard rock group formed in Los Angeles, California, who's biggest hit was the single "The Balled of Jayne" released in 1989 on the cd "Cocked and Loaded". In 2005 L.A. Guns stopped by the Continental in the East Village of NYC for a set of new music and some L.A. Guns anthems like "Rip and Tear" and "I Wanna Be Your Man".

Just cropped this in Photoshop, it seems Avery is out to lunch again. I guess our little pals at flickr are "improving" it. On the up side I can upload photos again without half of them being dropped, I guess their improvement didn't work?. Keep improving things guys!
Popcorn weathering forms in smectite clay-rich deposits. This material is a weathered bentonite horizon (= volcanic ash deposit). Some of the silicate minerals in the bentonite have been altered to smectite clay (also known as montmorillonite). Smectite is famous for being a "swelling clay" - a significant volume expansion occurs when wet. After drying out, the clay shrinks. Surficial, popcorn-shaped structures form with repeated wetting & drying of some smectitic stratigraphic horizons.

Bentonite
Fifty-five million years ago, volcanoes in the Rockies spewed out ash that blew east. At that time, this area was a vast, tropical swamp. The ash settled in wet areas and became bentonite clay. Bentonite looks like popcorn when dry, but becomes sticky, slick mud when wet. It can absorb up to five times its weight in water. Known as the mineral of one thousand uses, it is used to seal landfills and ponds, to make cat litter, and much more.

icicles formed on branches over the Ottawa River melting in the afternoon sun (March 27, 2012). Some of the "baubles" look like they're defying gravity owing to the break in their anchor.
The summit is out of view to the right. I easily zigzagged up the talus slope almost to the top at upper left. Then I angled right into the deep shadow, which was a shortcut to the rocky ridge above. A little white dot marks where I ascended through the shadow. The image below is a close-up view of the shadowy area.
My vantage point for this photo was a terrace formed by ancient Lake Bonneville.
This series of photographs explores existing structural forms through composition, abstracted from their municipal values and purposes. In order to emphasize this concept I chose to defocus my camera so that most of the finer, higher frequency detail would be lost. This style of capture is arresting, atypical, and to many, incorrect. We are trained from birth to find focus and examine detail, but there is much to gain by looking at the often disregarded less energetic patterns that surround us. This is not a new idea, by any means, and we might find this ideology present in any number of modern works of architecture, sculpture, and even product design. Minimalism often takes this approach and forces simple shapes and smooth textures in order to stress form over material or texture. My structural subjects are not uncommon or inaccessible; they are encountered continually through my life. With these photographs, my intention is to render them emotionally, in reduced form, for reflection and consideration.

L’exposition L’Usage des formes explore l’ingéniosité humaine et la relation passionnée que les créateurs entretiennent avec leurs outils, en abordant l’instrument comme un élément fondamental du rapport de l’homme au monde. Faisant dialoguer artisans d’art et artistes, l’exposition rassemble les métiers d’art, le design, les arts plastiques et l’architecture dans une scénographie conçue par le designer Robert Stadler et réalisée en collaboration avec des artisans d’art.
Le début du parcours invite à plonger dans l’univers de l’atelier. Au sein de cette fabrique, l’outil se donne à voir comme une incarnation de l’Histoire, en ce qu’il correspond fondamentalement à la transmission ou réécriture de la pratique qui lui est associée. L’exposition aborde ensuite la notion de prise en main de l’outil. L’objet technique est l’instrument de cette préhension qui permet de mettre l’homme en contact avec le monde. Telle une prothèse, l’outil est précisément cette extension du corps qui permet à l’homme d’interagir avec son environnement et de passer ainsi de l’état de nature à l’état de culture. Apprendre à manipuler un outil révèle les propriétés cachées de la matière. L’outil, par conséquent, est un objet qui permet d’extraire de l’information, de mesurer et de quantifier le réel et d’opérer des croisements fructueux entre la science, la technologie et l’artisanat. L’exposition se clôt sur la double dimension symbolique - voire magique - et utilitaire de l’outil : à l’instar du compas des Compagnons du Devoir, devenu symbole philosophique de la Franc-maçonnerie, ou encore du dodécaèdre gallo-romain, mystérieux objet de divination, présentés dans cette section. Par leur préciosité ou par le sens dont ils ont été investis, ces objets, à l’origine simples instruments, deviennent de puissants symboles de l’humanité et des vecteurs de contemplation. Following 10 exciting and tough matches City of Manchester gained the win.

Das Schloss Morges steht in der Altstadt - Stadt Morges am G.enfersee im Kanton Waadt -Vaud in der Schweiz

Südwestlich der Altstadt steht das mächtige Schloss, das 1286 – 1291 in der Form eines Carré savoyard erbaut wurde. Der regelmässige viereckige Bau mit drei kleineren runden Ecktürmen und dem grossen runden Nordturm als Donjon erhielt seine heutige Gestalt im 16. und 17. Jahrhundert. Seit der Revolution ist das Schloss im Besitz des Kantons Waadt und diente zunächst als Z.eugh.aus. Seit 1.9.3.2 beherbergt das Schloss das Waadtländer M.ilitärm.useum.
