Dad and son share a special bonding moment as the 3 week old baby shares his first fist-bump with his dad. They should re-do this photo every year until he's 18...

I hope your weekend provides some memorable moments of their own.

Back to Norwich again, and finally I can start uploading photos of what I was REALLY there for; the B7TLs! Well, actually I was after the Plaxton President ones, but to my surprise there were also a pair of Alexander ones in Essex branding, that weren't on the fleet list, perhaps because they'd been recently transferred? Not sure, but definitely welcome. Both the ALXs were working hard on the pink line services to and from Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.

This view is one of the ones taken in the evening, while waiting just over an hour in Norwich again for my train connection while returning from Gt Yarmouth. 32482 sits on a much quieter St Stephens Street, on 19.7.23

AU53 HJZ is one of a 20-strong batch of 53 plate ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TLs that were new to Ipswich depot. Ipswich garage has a particularly low door, so the batch (plus a later six) were built to an especially low height - possibly the lowest height ALX400s ever built? I couldn't see the plate in the cab to confirm, so I can't be certain.

Stand A While

Dawn yesterday morning at Mt Clear in the Namadgi NP. My helpful assistant was up with me watching the sunrise. This is a three frame HDR ... I took another couple of series of the sunrise (as you do...) but I really liked this one with my assistant in frame ... it lends a sense of scale to the place ...that's him in the colourful beanie in lower left ;-) ... it was a superb day too :-)

My first day on the job training on the WSOR. Good memories on my old phone.

The snow in Yorkshire yesterday fortunately coincided with a pre planned trip to photograph Simon Philpot's Red Squirrels. We had a lovely (if cold !!) day with them and the sprinkling of whiter stuff was a definite bonus !

With the colors in the sunrise it's easy to miss the mountains in the back ground. The mountains are 10,000 feet in elevation, and are about 8 miles from where I took the photo.....LOOKS BEST ENLARGED ON BLACK (push L)
