May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.

First Manchester: 69572 (BD13 OHL) a Wright Eclipse 2 bodied Volvo B7RLE, painted in corporate livery but with hardly any names applied and just a couple of smallish First logos. This vehicle is captured here on the stand in Shudehill Interchange waiting to operate a journey on Service 92 to Bury.

GML10 & G511 lead a late running 1146 to freo! This was GML10 first time leading after finally getting a radio put into it out of GL102
This is what I miss about First no longer operating in Plymouth, the random variety thrown up, well before 'bustimes.org' existed you never quite knew what might appear while waiting with the camera!
There were a few not so well presented buses but on the whole I always thought the Plymouth fleet was well turned out and the drivers friendly on the whole.
A none standard type vehicle within the group at this late stage it came to Devon with 3 others via Glasgow when First took over Hutchinson Coaches, Overtown.
Of course with First long gone from here the 2 services continues in the hands of Stagecoach but you won't find anything this rare operating on it these days!
With the first snow of the season finally sticking I went out trackside close to home to shoot the Seaview Transportation working down in Quonset-Davisville. A plow truck on Davisville Road is ready but not needed for the two inches of powder that fell, just enough to make everything pretty, but not enough to necessitate any cleanup work.
The Seaview crew is doing a bit of switching in the east end of the Ocean State Yard near MP 2 on the Davisville Branch side of the railroad, and after gathering up their cars they will back west to the junction and then down the Quonset side to work mainstay customer, Toray Plastics.
SVTX GP10 1855 was built as a GP9 in Aug. 1956 for the Baltimore and Ohio as their #6467. Later rebuilt by ICG's Paducah Shop she bounced around on different shortlines until coming to Rhode Island in 2006 where she was given this snappy paint job.

The first Poppy to flower in our new garden. Martin grew them from seed. I do like the dark maroon colour of this one HFF! Continuing my 100 Flowers 2017 project

Tried something new. I'd always wanted to catch a train near the old station stop of Hinton, CA, just east of Truckee. When the dispatcher ushered three trains out of Sparks on this late afternoon, I jammed to the end of Hirschdale Road. I was treated to a magnificent vista of the tracks and the river.
Here, the westbound KMNOA (Marion, AR to Oakland, CA Premium Intermodal) rolls up the canyon at a good clip.
