A few feathery flakes are scattered widely through the air, and hover downward with uncertain flight, now almost alighting on the earth, now whirled again aloft into remote regions of the atmosphere.

I took this photo while visiting Monique in Alberta...it only snowed for a very short time and didn't stay...but so pretty.

It was like magic! This Merlin appeared out of nowhere! The first bird in the early morning light at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Galloway, NJ.
In a summer of hot humid days and drenching rain, my first Sunflower to join all the other flowers in my garden; happy days.
In the distant past, while Summer was pleasant, this would not be a sight that I liked seeing in mid-August.
Tropical Storm Henri Warning is in effect for us! 😂
Happy Day to you!!
It was so exciting to see and photograph the Northern Lights for the first time. These weren't as strong as others that I saw later on our trip but they were absolutely mesmerizing to watch. I think I got better photos later when the lights were stronger but I am pleased with my first attempts. So many stars in the northern sky. Taken in Nunavut, Canada.
Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.

A muggy morning in the summer of 2013 finds 23 cars worth of Q339 being pulled out of the east siding at South Deshler with CSXT 8098 providing all the necessary muscle. I offer this as a submission for "Forty Friday" for more than just the obvious reason. The 8098 was built in 1980, making 2020 its 40th birthday. However, I can't find any photos of it more recent than 2016, so I have to assume its rotting in a deadline somewhere, or worse...
Otters at Satay by The Bay fighting over a tasty morsel. Unfortunately that's the end of my short interlude on "Nature/ Wildlife", should really be photographing more but too caught up with work/ other commitments. :(
