Thanks for all your visits and comments!

A few feathery flakes are scattered widely through the air, and hover downward with uncertain flight, now almost alighting on the earth, now whirled again aloft into remote regions of the atmosphere.

~Nathaniel Hawthorne

I took this photo while visiting Monique in Alberta...it only snowed for a very short time and didn't stay...but so pretty.

Taken this morning just as the sun rose and lit up this opening hibiscus flower.

i guess it was for both of us. don't really want to bore you with all the bla bla. haha

thank you for having a look at it.

We were blanketed with snow for two days in late November. This is the community garden in our area. Looks beautiful in the snowfall. Thanks all for visiting and your comments.

Thanks for stopping by my gallery. I’m very pleased and really appreciate each and every view of my photo, comments, invitations and awards

It was like magic! This Merlin appeared out of nowhere! The first bird in the early morning light at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Galloway, NJ.

First time using photo merger from 10 vertical shots. Accepting recommendations to make the process easier. It took me forever working from raw files, which generated a huge file.

In the distant past, while Summer was pleasant, this would not be a sight that I liked seeing in mid-August.

Tropical Storm Henri Warning is in effect for us! 😂

I'm taking a hiatus from my vacation images today, because I went out in the backyard and it is so full of spring blossoms I wanted to share their beauty.

It's 07:10 AM, not too early though...

Another fun night for the crew of WAPO; not only is it snowing, but two of their five engines have already died less than ten miles out of Waterville. They're still moving along though, as they're about to roll by MP128 in Belgrade, with SD40-2M 613 leading the way, and about sixty cars trailing it.

A muggy morning in the summer of 2013 finds 23 cars worth of Q339 being pulled out of the east siding at South Deshler with CSXT 8098 providing all the necessary muscle. I offer this as a submission for "Forty Friday" for more than just the obvious reason. The 8098 was built in 1980, making 2020 its 40th birthday. However, I can't find any photos of it more recent than 2016, so I have to assume its rotting in a deadline somewhere, or worse...

First autumn snow in the Swiss mountains at 2000 mtrs.

It was a beautiful clear sunrise at the Snake River Overlook in Grand Teton National Park. But you pay the price for the high pressure system over the area...the temperature was -9 degrees F (-23 C)!

Hi there,

This bee was a quick flier and was equally speedy at divebombing into the wild thistle. If you zoom in, you'll notice it has a large amount of pollen on the underside of its body.

Thank you for taking the time to look and to leave me a comment. I do love hearing from you!

Have a wonderful day!
