I had my 'first warbler' visit taking a bath in my backyard fountain. I had seen it a few days before, briefly, and without a camera. This day he spent quite some time enjoying the water. Heading out to Half Moon Bay this morning for a couple of days will catch up when I return.
I believe this is a Orange-crowned Warbler.
Thank you for your visit and comments...have a wonderful day.

December 5, 2009 - The first snow of the season in Fairfax, VA started falling early in the morning and continued all day. The kids got out to play and I got out to take pictures. What a fun day.

The look through the camera is like a door to another world.
When I first checked out this location earlier this morning, the Sun was just barely hitting the Tunnel and the train was already out of Grand Jct. so I quickly changed my mind and took off in search of something else. After all of my other photo choices were no good, I hastily drove back to this location (with some very questionable driving:} ) but unfortunately I did not have time to climb up high enough to get I-70 out of the picture:{
Should have just stayed put and got a better shot!
I visited Glastonbury on Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd June 2023 to capture some of the bus action transporting festival goers to the annual event. Of course, I was instantly attracted to the Bristol VRs and Olympians operated by Chepstow Classic Buses, but there were plenty of other interesting buses to photograph as well!
Back to Norwich again, and finally I can start uploading photos of what I was REALLY there for; the B7TLs! Well, actually I was after the Plaxton President ones, but to my surprise there were also a pair of Alexander ones in Essex branding, that weren't on the fleet list, perhaps because they'd been recently transferred? Not sure, but definitely welcome. Both the ALXs were working hard on the pink line services to and from Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.
This view is one of the ones taken in the evening, while waiting just over an hour in Norwich again for my train connection while returning from Gt Yarmouth. 32482 sits on a much quieter St Stephens Street, on 19.7.23
AU53 HJZ is one of a 20-strong batch of 53 plate ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TLs that were new to Ipswich depot. Ipswich garage has a particularly low door, so the batch (plus a later six) were built to an especially low height - possibly the lowest height ALX400s ever built? I couldn't see the plate in the cab to confirm, so I can't be certain.

After a few days of frost with temperatures -3, 0 degrees, overnight there was snowfall and fog which caused havoc across many parts of the UK. Locally was much the same. That aside, the beauty of snowfall and people, families and pets were out in their droves. Please scroll through my photos, I hope you enjoy them :)

No Group Awards/Banners, thanks
A skiff of snow over everything. It rained last night and then froze and then it snowed . It has lasted all day.
My first attempt at a panorama. 6 photo's, all were taken hand held. Not that good but leaves me wanting to explore more!
