First Leeds 32438 on service 19 to East Garforth. 10th November 2022.

Stand A While

Dawn yesterday morning at Mt Clear in the Namadgi NP. My helpful assistant was up with me watching the sunrise. This is a three frame HDR ... I took another couple of series of the sunrise (as you do...) but I really liked this one with my assistant in frame ... it lends a sense of scale to the place ...that's him in the colourful beanie in lower left ;-) ... it was a superb day too :-)

First Scotland East Enviro 400MMC SN66WGK 33438 is seen in Livingston town centre operating a service 28 to Edinburgh, 21st November

Here it is in the final wash.

Here I'm following the Christopher James instructions for warmer tone.

Paper is coated and dried, then is prehumidified. I'm doing mine for 7mins 30 seconds (as a middle figure), aiming for a warm brown colour.

Then the paper - placed in a crystal seal envelope to preserve the humidity and protect the neg - is exposed - I ended up doing this first one for 37 minutes this morning (!!) and even then I'm not really sure it's fully exposed.

Then wash in acidified water, fixed with hypo, then washed.

The neg for this was exposed for scanning but has worked ok. Next one will have been shot specifically for argyrotype. Let's see if there's a difference.

My first day on the job training on the WSOR. Good memories on my old phone.

Seen loading up in Piccadilly on a diverted Metroshuttle 3

With the colors in the sunrise it's easy to miss the mountains in the back ground. The mountains are 10,000 feet in elevation, and are about 8 miles from where I took the photo.....LOOKS BEST ENLARGED ON BLACK (push L)

After a few days of frost with temperatures -3, 0 degrees, overnight there was snowfall and fog which caused havoc across many parts of the UK. Locally was much the same. That aside, the beauty of snowfall and people, families and pets were out in their droves. Please scroll through my photos, I hope you enjoy them :)

Hallo zusammen

Es ist immer schön wenn man die ersten Mantis findet. So früh wie dieses Jahr habe ich in meinem Revier noch nie welche entdeckt, normalerweise kann ich Ende Juli mit den ersten, noch kleinen, Tieren rechnen.

The first Mantis 2018

Hello everyone

It's always nice to find the first mantis. As early as this year I have never discovered any in my area, normally I can count on the first, still small, animals at the end of July.

Forggensee is a lake (impounding reservoir) located north of Füssen in the district of Ostallgäu in Bavaria. One of many lakes in the region around Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles, Forggensee is the fifth-largest lake in Bavaria, with a surface area of 15.2 km². The River Lech flows through it.

Il ritorno regale della cagnolina con le macchie :-)

The first time I have seen the northern lights (and stars) this fall. An elderly lady from Tetlin was telling me how she sees them when she goes into her backyard at night to tend her fish smoking fires, or I wouldn't have known.

The only editing I have done to this photo is to darken the sky a bit (still quite a bit of brightness in our night sky) and take out the hot pixels (tiny red and blue colored dots)

New Wrightbus Streetdeck seen here in the livery of First Leicester. It is fleet number 35179 and body number AM797. It hasn't yet gained a reg number but I would think it will end up with a 16 plate.

First South Yorkshire 37473 turns onto Station Road as it begins it's run out towards Wisewood via the city centre from Woodhouse railway station 02/04/2021.

Actually, this is my first order for Lego (or Lego stuff) other than from Lego.com.

I ordered 4 M1 helmets, a G36 (cause i love it), an M4, a PSG1, 4 M67 grenades, a World War Weapons Pack (for my History class), and my free weapon was a silver AK. Brickarms rocks!

Greeting visitors into the main hall of the iconic Kyoto Railway Museum are three of JR/JNR's electric locomotives.

From right to left is the unique JNR 489 Series, with its long "bonnet" or nose, once used for express service in the mountains of Gunma Prefecture. In the middle is a JNR 581 series, an express sleeper used primarily between Osaka and Hakata before the San-yo Shinkansen was built. On the left is an 500 series shinkansen, once used on the Tokaido Shinkansen but now relegated to Kodama service on the San-Yo Shinkansen.

For the "Culturally Curious", the 500 at the time this was taken was theme wrapped to EVA-02 as part of a collaboration with the Japanese kids anime "Shinkalion", where the redhead tsundere and train make a cameo.
