Photos taken during a break at work as a key worker. Social distance and face covering guidance kept to at all times.

I've had a pretty crummy week. XD I spend my time on the bus sleeping, and at work I get grouchy and sad a lot. XD
B36-7 #5895 is pictured at Bryan Park in Richmond on July 21st 1990. This engine was the first unit painted into YN2/Bright Future, earlier that year. Looking back, it was probably one of the better paint schemes a class one RR could have, compared to what exists now on the east coast. YN2 and B36s, I guess we didn't know how good we had it. This engine still exists, but in ratty shortline paint. Doug Boyd photo, JL Sessa collection.

"Where I live the open space of desire is red. The desert before me is red is rose is pink is scarlet is magenta is salmon. The colors are swimming in the light constantly, with cloud cover with rain with wind with light, delectable light, delicious light. The palette of erosion is red, is running red water, red river, my own blood flowing downriver; my desire is red. The landscape can be read. A flight of birds. A flight of words. Red-winged blackbirds are flocking the river in spring. In cattails, they sing and sing; on the riverback, they glisten.
Can we learn to speak the language of red?'

I had my 'first warbler' visit taking a bath in my backyard fountain. I had seen it a few days before, briefly, and without a camera. This day he spent quite some time enjoying the water. Heading out to Half Moon Bay this morning for a couple of days will catch up when I return.
I believe this is a Orange-crowned Warbler.
Thank you for your visit and comments...have a wonderful day.

I visited Glastonbury on Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd June 2023 to capture some of the bus action transporting festival goers to the annual event. Of course, I was instantly attracted to the Bristol VRs and Olympians operated by Chepstow Classic Buses, but there were plenty of other interesting buses to photograph as well!
I have some pens and pencils.
A sketchbook.
And a head full of quotes, lyrics and the like.
