Taken with Vivitar 300mm - this lens is seriously good. Can get about a meter away at full zoom.

First Glasgow 33920 away to turn onto Argyle Street on service 66 to East Kilbride via Clarkston. 26th August 2012.
Our first snow occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday 12 Nov 2013. Here are a few pics of what it looked like this morning when I awoke These photos are from my back yard near Marietta Ohio. The news and Weather Channel indicated that the snow belt for this little snowfall was pretty wide and far reaching so I suspect that many of my Flickr friends scattered about the east coast awoke to a similar scene. Happy First Snow
Thought I’d join the fray. It also gives me an excuse to post this re-edit of Eitka’s most recent pic. ;P (Though flickr's still making it look fuzzy...>.>)
First Doll Meme
1* Tag 5 friends (I tag everyone in my head! Go ahead and play if you wanna :D ).
2* Use a picture of your first BJD.
3* Answer the questions!
------------------------------
1. What sculpt is/was your first doll?
Dream of Doll Elf Petsha.
2. Do you still own this doll?
Of course. I don’t think I could ever sell her.
3. Was your first doll your grail?
Nope. At the time, I had limited knowledge of sculpts. I had seen a picture of a Leeke girl (whose name I can’t remember) and at the time I had forgotten her sculpt/who made her/etc. I found a stock pic of Petsha online, saw she had a similar wig to the first girl, and the rest is history. (Little did I know I would spend the rest of eternity hating that damn wig…)
4. How long did you have to wait from the moment you decided on the doll to actually buying?
Uh, I waited about a day to decide that I needed her lol, and I was in high school, so I had to go through this whole rigamaroll of a process of justifying the spending of half my savings on a doll to my super confused parents. Took about a week for me to wear them down, and I still don’t think they’re used to my dolls. XD
5. Did you buy it or was it a gift?
I bought her.
6. Why did you choose the doll you did as your first?
She had white hair in her photo. That seriously was it lol. I have always loved white hair on dolls/characters. I don’t even know. It’s latent transfer from my middleschool obsession with Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha, I think. Petsha’s come with that default white wig, which Eitka still wears, unfortunately, because I haven’t found a suitable replacement, even though I hate the damn thing. XD
7. Did you have a character in mind as soon as you saw the doll or did it develop after arrival?
It developed over the week that I was waiting for approval. Her name changed about a zillion times, though I can’t quite remember what the early ideas were. And her backstory still changes and lengthens to this day. ;P
8. Do any of your friends own the same sculpt?
Nope, not now at least. Emily (greeniebone) did once, before we met.
9. If you could go back and change your decision to buy the doll you did as your first, would you?
No fracking way. I love me my Eitka. Also, she’s damn tough for a BJD: she bites, kicks, bonks her head and yet keeps on truckin’. As a n00b, I made so many mistakes with her, it’s great that I got started with such a sturdy dependable doll and not a more delicate sculpt, like my Cerisedolls Eugenie, or one with certain resin weirdness, like my Narae.
10. How did you learn about BJDs?
Through a friend (aquaticircus). She sent me pics. Then, when we went to an anime con that Summer, I got to hold an SD boy and we chatted with several doll owners about the hobby, and got lots of BJD related freebies. Five years and thirteen dolls later, you see the result. >w<
