Finally a few tomatoes are turning red. They are the first ones to do so, but then again, my tomato plants were nothing more than weeds at the end of June (grown from seeds in my composted earth added to the garden and then magically sprouted into little green saplings!)
This is what the chairs look like now, in our lounge. Evenutally the sofa in the background will get a new slip cover too to match.
The last week of my summer vacation and the hummingbirds are finally taking advantage of the feeder!
The best part of our adjusted route into Oregon was that it routed us along the BEAUTIFUL Columbia River Gorge! We were both flabbergasted by the sudden change from desert to lush forests and rocks. It was one of the most beautiful things either of us had seen! We were happy we got to see it before the wildfire that burned large sections of it a couple months into our move. Hard to believe that fire was started by a couple of dumb kids with fireworks!
Finally, have been told, yep you are in labour. Please note my complexion looks odd, I had a facial today :) Very important!

The view out the garage. After being teased several times we are finally getting a real snow. Still coming down hard out there. Hopefully the government will close tomorrow and I can get some shots in the morning.

Lots of people have been out in the streets this weekend. Sitting outside at pubs and cafes, just to get some of this year's first sunshine.
