On Sunday night Oliver was having problems breathing, he was coughing and wheezing so much that he couldn't sleep. So after a full night of no sleep, we decided to take him into his ped. She was concerned that he would get worse and sent us to the children's hospital to be monitored. He was given breathing treatments and a steroid shot and was finally feeling well enough to sleep. We ended up having to spend the night because he needed constant treatments (every two hours) and they wanted to keep taking his vitals to make sure he was getting better and not worse. So after a long night of tests and treatments every few hours, he was finally doing much better. We were released and on our way home by noon. We are very glad to be home, and it was really nice to be back in our own bed last night!

I'm finally seeing these little dragonfly cousins in greater numbers this year. I'm always happy to see them and it's fun to try to get shots of them since they're so small and so interesting to look at.

Finally uploading pics of my amazing Christmas haul from Erica! (I accidentally deleted the first batch I took, so had to retake them-- doh!)

Finally a picture of an Orange Lilypad Lady! In the process I had a flock of Blue-winged Teal land in the water next to me. It's the one time I wish I hadn't been fixated on my Ode since the flock took off before I could get a picture!

"Finally Fall" ~Morgan Adams Photography

it's only taken a year, but we've finally set up the drums.

I think in the beginning, there were too many parties and the

temptation would have been too huge to be bangin' all late into the night.

as can be seen -- they're right by the window.

they're in the bedroom.

but it felt so good to just pound away, just like old times.

I could really be in for a time-waster there!! :)

one more thing -- it feels SO good!!

Green Cay Wetlands

There were so many photgraphers when I arrived at sunrise this morning it was a challenge finding a place to stand. For the past two weeks I have been hoping to get a frontal, full open wing shot of one of the adults as they returned to the nest. Got lucky this morning due to a wind change that caused them to make a banking turn when they came in from the west.....thanks for looking and I always appreciate your comments

Alhamdulillah, finally got my chance travelled to Luxor and Aswan.

Witnessing the ruins of temples and statues eracted underrules of the pharaoh, let me think the suffering of the captives and the slaves that was forced to build all the magnificent buildings. Dated backs, thousand of years ago, it truly took almost the hard affords and the great knowledge of the ancient Egyptian.

Yet, all of these still preserved by Allah, to be witnessed by of all the mankind, the disobedient and tyranny of the pharaoh as to Him should be submitted.

The New Kingdom, sometimes referred to as the Egyptian Empire, is the period in ancient Egyptian history between the 16th century BC and the 11th century BC, covering the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth Dynasties of Egypt. The New Kingdom (1570–1071 BC) followed the Second Intermediate Period and was succeeded by the Third Intermediate Period. It was Egypt’s most prosperous time and marked the zenith of its power.
