Finally we got the place

The big neighborhood debut. Please try to ignore the excited throngs.

One neighbor did drive by while I was taking photos. Probably she just shook her head in disgust at the thought of yet another old Volvo on the street.

If you look closely you can see that there is a spot of body putty above the mounting holes for the 242DL badge. There was a bit of body work that I missed the first time around. Hoping that when it goes back in to shoot the insides of the fenders they'll be able to just shoot and clear coat this one area again. We'll see.

You'll also note that the driver's door isn't latching properly. More on that later....I suspect at this point that the NOS weather stripping that I procured is not the right application for this year. In the process of reviving the original stuff and hoping that when I swap it back in things will be OK.

Finally after 2 weeks of Heineken/Tiger/Lion Beer and Various cocktails, I get a english beer! Good stuff.

Also it's a birthday beverage so it tasted even better

I squeezed Miya's feet into some blythe oversized boots...managed to fit in....so Miya won't have to walk around barefooted! This is a temporary fix until I find new suitable shoes for her.....hehe

It took 4 years---but a Western Meadowlark finally posed for me...just wish I'd had the longer lens on..

This is me on my way to work this morning. Emphasis, finally, on morning. For the last two weeks I've been crawling in to the office around 11 or noon or even like thirteen-hundred-hours, not because I'm going to bed late or anything, but because I seriously can't open my eyes before there is some degree of lightness outside. The situation improves noticeably every day right now, when the amount of sunlight we get increases by a few minutes each day.

after deliberation, weapon of choice: white shirt

note to self: invest in more white shirts..how can u only have one?!

DSC00128...my daughter took a week of vacation in Quebec City.

I wound the lamp shade. :) I bought it last summer. Removed the ugly 90's homemade fabric lamp shade cover, wound the frame with plastic ribbon. Looking much more 50's. ;) (legs = teak or teak look alike)

Fun and exciting for Jeff, terrifying yet thrilling for Mari

I finally got around to going on my first mountain bike ride of the year on Sunday and since the bike was still sat in my living room waiting to have it's chain greased I thought it only fitting to include it in my photo 365 project.

Finally finished it, except for the binding.

the smile of a boy who worked hard - almost every day - for 3 months - to break 100 soccer juggles. He hit 99 and the very next time made 107. Well done.

Our newly refurbished hall, stairs, landing and loo.

We finally took off from Charlotte. Charlotte is where planes go to be delayed, at least that's been my experience. At least there's free WiFi.

Got a night that was clear and it wasn't -10 c. got to test the cameras and was shocked kind of.

The Sony hx50 takes a nice pic even after shutter speed, aperture adjustments

The Pentax XG -1 (kodak 522) took the best moon picture but outer space?

Put manual focus control on an outer ring, you got a winner Pentax/kodak

Full Moon Rehearsal

My Brandy Punch Marsh Mallow finally bloomed. Damn slow starter in the spring.

Sterling Heights, Michigan

Finally , My new camera Canon EOS 550D is here ^^ ..

God bless her XD ..

Waiting for a bus. Not on our first queue at Animal Kingdom, whatever you may have read before.

Finally we got Wii Fit today.

... something to post! I've had a shortage of material recently and I know... it's Pacific Quay again, but I kinda liked this one and the processing done

After a busy day fishing for juicy bits of kelp, this flock of Ring-Billed Gulls has settled down to enjoy the rest of the afternoon sun. This is the east part of Locarno Beach, just west of the Fisherman's Pier which is on the west side of the Jericho Boating Club. In the background you can see Stanley Park on the left, downtown Vancouver on the right and some of the mountains on the North Shore.
