Finally...A Hard Rock Cafe ON the strip. Still in construction as of June 25th, but the merch store is open.
I uncovered a half-buried row of four children here, tiny stones you'd trip over likely as take any notice. Charlotte Langley is the oldest among them, aged eleven. Her neighbours are Annie Langley (six years, eight months), Eveline Langley (six years, four months), and Abbie Langley, who lived just seven months. They all died between 1860 and 1861, when the diphtheria pandemic finally found us out in Nova Scotia. It was a painful way to go, your throat closing up, no way to get food or water, and lucky enough to breathe till the end. You don't get much more humble than these low reminders. This cut and shape of limestone wasn't even meant to hold this much information, designed instead for simple footstones with initials – matched with a more detailed headstone six feet away. However bought these for their daughters did so when times were tight, wanting a worthy remembrance, forced to the most affordable option. It might have even been a special request, last ditch option for an empty wallet. These are the smallest I've seen, saying what little lives have left. Tiny bones, buried below, sharing space with the groundhogs.

One of my favourite scenes in the entire series <3
Although the whole theme was rather sad and depression, this lovely moment really stood out, imho ^^
So I just had to vector it :)
Done in about 3 hours in Photoshop, screenshot used as a base.
Finally installed the right front fender, grille, and front bumper yesterday. Honestly I needed the space in my garage that all that shit was taking up. Doesn't look half bad, huh?
Finally, a startrails shot that I like. This is about my fourth attempt to get a decent shot of them!!!!!!
The dotted line going through the shot was a plane.
I also need a more powerful torch to light up the foreground.
I had not made explore in ages. Finally, I have two new photos in it.

Fimmvörðuháls, Iceland. 25.06.2011.
Finally we reached the hut we slept in for one night. It is surrounded by three volcanoes: Eyjafjallajökull on the one hand, Katla at the other and then Fimmvörðuháls where there was eruption recently. Didn´t sleep that well knowing this....
About this hike:
I try to hike every time I come home to Iceland in the summertime. This time I hiked with my friend Bolli Pétur who is a priest in North-Iceland. We hiked the famous route Fimmvörðuháls which starts in Skógar and ends in Þórsmörk (you can also do it the other way round).
We decided to do it in two days instead of the usual one day and stayed in a hut between the glaciers (Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull). The hut, Fimmvörðuskáli, lies only few hundreds meters away from a recent eruption in Fimmvörðuháls and on one site you have Eyjafjallajökull which recently erupted and on the other site you have Mýrdalsjökull with the infamous volcano Katla which is predicted to erupt very soon. I admit that I didn´t sleep much that night..... ;)
You can see the route explained in this picture of mine: www.flickr.com/photos/sigfus/6225915030/
About Fimmvörðuháls:
Fimmvörðuháls is the area between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull in southern Iceland. The route between Skógar and Thórsmörk goes through this pass and is one of the most popular walking routes in Iceland, despite being 22km long and involving 1000m of climbing. At Fimmvörðuháls there is a modern comfortable mountain hut owned by Útivist, one of the Icelandic hiking associations. Also nearby there is an older, less equipped hut called Baldvinsskáli. The route from Skógar is particularly beautiful as numerous waterfalls are passed along the way. The route is only accessible between mid-June and late-August. On the night of 16 May 1970, three travellers died on the mountain pass in a snowstorm.

Finally made it into the canyon and got to see this climber in action. The shot I took earlier with another climber in blue was just to the left of this shot. As I was taking photos, a chunk of snow fell off the clift above and ended up getting my camera all wet.

I've been wanting to map out where I've been for years, and display all my travel tickets! I wrote some nice adventure quotes too.
The end of our Autumn Road Trip. All the way to The Mumbles and back: 43 days, 6700km, 114 hours behind the wheel, average speed 70.7 km/h, we slept in 20 different beds.
Yes, I am thin... But I assure you all. I AM EATING PROPERLY... I'm just can't seem to keep the food inside my body in the right places.
We got SNOW!
And it was falling so fast that most of my shots were close ups of fat and fluffy snowflakes instead of my fast moving happy dog :) It felt like being in a blizzard.
Right now it stopped snowing and it's just insanely cold: -14C (that's 7F).
