Finally after several attempts in recent weeks I finally caught 3J11 coming down the straight at Keld farm bathed in golden late afternoon sunlight. The working had left Carlisle late (9 mins), but by Kirkby Thore SB it was virtually RT. The light doesn't last long here at this time of year as the sun was just above the hill crest behind me and setting fast , fine margins. The shallow cutting south of the bridge was already in shadow DRS 66423 & 68031 doing the honours
Yes, it's only been three years since I started wearing this lovely av, made by Kurenai Meiji....
Finally, i have updated my Linden Bear. Bear collectors beware, this high maintenance fellow requires fresh, line-caught salmon 3 times a day.
Exporail's John Molson steam engine goes for a spin on the ex-CP turntable (originally from St-Lin, Qc).
Finally scored some more mats. No more cold feet on cold floors dammut. I'll most likely cut a hole in one to fit around the vise stand.
Finally spring has arrived, there are countless colours in nature. Photo belongs to an flower show in New Delhi on 13th mar 2011.
Met all of them. Kevin and Joe for the first time ever. I know I haven't been on here for like a year or more but I felt like I should put this here. I met them in Atlantic City on 7/26 because I won a meet and greet :) It was wonderful. Kevin is the sweetest person ever, he talked to me the most asking me about my job as a teacher (because I told him how I lost my voice from my kids) Joe and Nick were somewhat quiet but when I said I teach 17 3 year olds, Joe goes "You crazy." hah! Nick was quiet but he said he could hear me just fine even though I had laryngitis causing me to have to like squeak to talk to them. This moment just made my life and it made me go full circle. 7 years ago I became obsessed, and now I see them as those normal guys and I've become a little less obsessed, but they still have a spot in my heart. <3
I'd seen their paw prints all over Tommy Thompson Park when there was still snow, but this is the first time I actually saw a mink out and about.
So, my bro and his fiance have been together for several years. They've talked about getting married for a while. Russ wanted my mom and dad to be able to be there, so they decided to have the wedding here in Florida, instead of up in New Jersey.
Russ and I grew up going to Rock Springs Park almost every Saturday during the summer. It was a cheap fun way to cool off. So, he convinced Lana, his fiance, to have the wedding there!
All the stress aside (my mom and I did most of the planning/executing of the wedding), it was a great time.
The first one that actually was within range!

God is proving to me time and time again how good he is and how much he loves me. Little moments like the sunset catching those flowers above make me think about how God knows how much I love nature and beauty and color, and he gives it to me. I don't deserve it at all; in fact, I sometimes simply equate these moments to little coincidences in nature. But then there's that soft voice in the back of my head that says maybe if I pay a little more attention, I'll see the sunset is actually an "I love you" from a father who perfectly understands his son.

I don't dislike shooting birds, not least because it's fairly easy, but the scarcity of mammals at the refuge this year really hasn't been much fun. Thanks, great horned owls!
Can you see why I dislike this duck? Hint: those damn wrinkles never come out no matter how much I press! Fortunately this aspect does not show up on the public side of the garment.
finally painted my room to correct my errors. Moved into my place last year and my room had a BLACK wall. so I thought I wanted to have a bright wall and went for yellow, which proved to be tooooo bright. so I went for this:
Breezy!
A quick stop to see if anything was running on the NS Chicago Line at Waterloo, Indiana, finally netted me one westbound intermodal. The signals had been green in both directions for quite some time. It was probably a quiet day otherwise on this Good Friday. Perhaps the dispatcher was clearing routes a little farther in advance.
