...the horses actually got up a little speed !!! They must have felt good after having thier feet trimmed.
Finally repurposed the original vertically-oriented cockpit from my first scrapped walker moc. Works much better with this leg design. I'm sure I'll obsess with 100 more minutiae tweaks to the legs and feet, but its time to move onto the upper torso!
Well, im finally 18; on national talk like a pirate day. If you go to a crispy cream donut shop and wear a pirate costume with 3 pirate accessories (no weapons), then you'll get a free dozen donuts!
taken on my way back home from the airport.
houston to san antonio.
loooong drive :/ like 3 hours, haah,
haven't uploaded in foreverrrrrr it seems like.
just been busy with band camp and whatnot.
It happened! I signed today! I'm still in shock and probably won't sink in till I make that first payment and then reality will hit! I've been packing all week but there's so much more to do! Thus, I'll be out of commission for a few days.
The 99p Stores discount chain was bought out by Poundland back in late 2015 and quickly disappeared from UK high streets but not before I bought scores and scores of these cheapo diecast trucks with the intention of customising them all.
I bought so many that didn't quite happen as quickly as I wanted and over the ensuing TEN YEARS they were slowly taken out of various drawers, customised, catalogued, photographed and uploaded on to here.
This example is THE VERY LAST ONE bought back in 2015 which finally puts that chapter to a close though Feisu do of course still produce this Matchbox copied DAF XF95 Space Cab as well as other Chinese toy makers. Originally wearing a High & Drive branded livery which was the in house diecast brand for 99p Stores though of course it was removed in readiness for custom labels never to be applied.
Mint and boxed.
The rest of my pre-orders finally arrived from my dealer today! I LOVE them all! My first impressions:
Jordan: gorgeous skin tone and challenging but very intriguing expression. She looks great in the sunlight!
Rayna: I love her skin tone and rich mahogany hair and her colourful screening. Her eyes are so beautiful! She is exactly like all the pictures I have seen of her on Flickr and I will need to debox her to make my own personal bond with her.
Nadja: she has such a strong personality, I can 'feel' her even while she is still in her box. I can't say enough how awesome I find the combination of everything on her: hair colour and style, gorgeous side glancing eyes, and I love the colours in her screening - yes, even the lips!
Ayumi: she is stunningly beautiful and I am so happy with her beautiful hair: the fringe has been done so well which is a big relief to me. I will need to debox her to get close to this beauty, as I can't find the angles of her expression very well while she is still in her box. But I LOVE all the details on her outfit and her face/hair are perfection.
I wandered outside the building into bright sunlight, totally exhausted after working about 24 out of 27 hours, and had to grab my camera and unwind by shooting some wonderful things... or will they still look wonderful when the tired brain catches up with me? I dunno... I shall post a few before I crash for a couple hours sleep, and you can be the judge!
Bless you all this lovely sunny day, may you find sunshine in your hearts on cloudy days...

Antilocapra americana - Pronghorn
After many trips over the years we finally came across a herd of ten pronghorn. Distant and with the light behind them but who cares. Of course as we were wtaching them one of the local rangers stopped and said he saw them most mornings - figures. Probably represents a major chunk of the valley population.
I finally got all of the parts to complete my handbuilt Columbus SL lugged road frame. I wanted to do an initial build before paint to make sure everything was going to work out as this is my first handmade bicycle frame. I think I did pretty good for my first frame.
Now to figure out the paint...
I first saw this bird just about five years ago, in fact twice in one day back then! Since then, I have been on the hunt and failed to get a decent shot. I basically never even posted any shots since they were so bad.
Yesterday, I had a wonderful opportunity to shoot this beautiful warbler!!!
Jerry always had the very best BTGW shot I ever saw and I always strived for that same shot. I feel like I got it FINALLY!! This is the one I have always aspired to:

I love Poland, such a great country. So many nice things to see, good campings ( i am a camper) and very nice people!
Finally!!!! after 7 years of waiting and looking for her, i finally found her!!!! YES!!! im so HAPPY!
I have searched for almost a year for this journal and I finally found it! It started with an e-mail to Midori Japan, the company which produces these beautiful-yet-simple leather journals. They suggested an importer out of San Francisco, which lead me to contacting Kinokuniya Bookstores here in Los Angeles. They don't carry them, but their San Francisco store does (probably through the importer Midori suggested). A week later, I had my hands on this elusive import.
Finally, a bit of sunshine! It's May and it's chilly (around 12 degrees Celsius), but good photo weather! For the time being that is, as the forecast says more horrid weather and showers...
Got the Boo York, Boo York soundtrack at last I had been trying to find it since it was released and Tesco finally had it I actually thought they never gonna have it but they actually did and my Mum bought it home for me.
after an hour long hard walk in the dryness of the southern part of the Big Island, we finally reached our goal!! one of only two known Green Sand beaches in the world (the other is on Guam i believe)
we were thickly covered in red dust (the same colour as the top of the formation) by the time we hiked back to the car.
the last time I had not been succesful in folding the flower tower. a closer examination of my model and pictures of other people's results finally gave me an idea of what to do. and yesterday I found out that this idea actually worked.
I wanted to achieve as many layers in the tower as I would be able to manage. thus I started with the biggest paper avilable to me: an octagon cut from a 70cm square of efalin. the colour is actually a really nice red, but the dusk light changed it to purple for my camera. guess I should have used the right white balance. ah well...
thanks again to dasa for teaching me the principles of the flower tower and enabling me to fold this!!
that model has really been high on my wish list for a long time. and I am so pleased to have managed.... a worthy nr. 42...

Ok...now it's time to applique this puppy onto some yardage. Was going to use Grunge Grey but I don't want to waste all of it that ends up behind the flowers so I think I'm going to find a Bella Solid at work and put the flowers on that and then add the Grunge as a border!!:)
Oh my Katy....it's moving along...only a whole year later!!:)

Boy scout waited patiently to get to the microscope, then went to town. His dad asked Haley about how much a scope like that would cost to get for his kids :).

I've never touched a Starfish, let alone held one. BUT, I do know that if you do hold one, never bring it above the water. It's akin to someone holding your head under water. Essentially, they can't breathe.
March 2006 - After I'd completed all my correcting, I wrote tomorrow's blog entry. The students were working hard on thier final examinations.

TGIF!
Friday afternoon, went to a café with a friend and a trip to the library afterwards. Then home and talk to the parents on the phone.
Have a fantastic weekend everyone! :-)
Finally - tuKola es mi Cola !!! Ok, some 10 year to put my hands at this cans, now in my shelf. Just arrived from Cuba. TuKola is for "Your Kola". Tastes like watered down Pepsi.
Finalmente consegui colocar minhas mãos nestas latinhas depois de 10 anos de tentativas. Acabaram de chegar de Cuba. TuKola significa "Tua Cola". Agora imagine a alternativa de marketing: "CuKola";... Acho que não ia dar... O sabor é de Pepsi aguada.
