Baahubali (English: The One With Strong Arms) is an upcoming two part Indian film, written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli. Produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, the film is simultaneously being made in Telugu and Tamil languages. There will be dubbed versions in Hindi and Malayalam. Baahubali features an ensemble cast of Prabhas Raju, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah in the lead roles, and Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Adivi Sesh, Tanikella Bharani and Sudeep in crucial roles.[6][7][8]
The film is presented by K. Raghavendra Rao, while K.E. Gnanavel Raja and UV Creations presenting the Tamil theatrical version, Karan Johar is presenting the Hindi theatrical version, and Global United Media is presenting the Malayalam theatrical version. The soundtrack and background score for the film is composed by National Award winner M. M. Keeravani, National Award winner Sabu Cyril designed art for the film.[9] while National Award winner V. Srinivas Mohan is the Visual effects supervisor.[10]

Anushka's character's name was revealed as Devasena.[50] Rana Daggubati was said to be playing the role of Prabhas' brother and He too underwent a lot of physical transformation for the role he was assigned to play in the film.[37] He also underwent training in Martial arts under the supervision of a Vietnamese trainer Tuan.[51] Sathyaraj sported a Tonsured look for his role in the film.[52] Sudeep said that he would play the role of a weapons trader Aslam Khan in this film.[53] In the end of October 2013, Rana appeared at a fashion show with a beefed up body which, according to him, was a part of his look in the film.[54] In mid-May 2014, reports emerged that Anushka would be seen as a pregnant woman for a few sequences in the second part of the film.[55]
At the same time, Prabhas posted in his Facebook page that he underwent a minor shoulder surgery a month ago and would join the film's sets in a span of a month which was also confirmed by Rajamouli.[56] In the end of May 2014, Prabhas attended a movie launch ceremony which dispelled the rumors which stated that he was in ICU battling several health issues and injuries.[57] On 1 June 2014, Prabhas and Rana's trainer Lakshman Reddy, who was the winner of 13 titles in India and abroad in bodybuilding, spoke to the media about the secrets behind the looks of Prabhas and Rana. According to him, Prabhas started his training 8 months before the commencement of shooting and after two years, both of them weighed nearly 100 kilos each. He also added that Prabhas would be seen in two attires with a heavy, bulky body for Baahubali's role and a lean physique for the second role. About the food intake, he said "Their daily diet consisted of six to eight meals – all non-vegetarian. No rice was given at all. Meals were eaten every two hours. The total calorie intake would range between 2000 to 4000 calories a day." For reduction of their weight, Reddy said "The process will be the same but you have to limit the food intake, depending on the person’s requirements. It takes four to five months to reduce".[58] For his look, Prabhas met WWE superstars in February 2014 and interacted with them about their daily regimen and workouts.[59]
Impressed with the infrastructure there, Prabhas got the equipment costing ₹1.5 crore shipped to his home, where he built a personal gym. His breakfast included 40 half boiled egg whites blended and added with protein powder everyday.[59] In mid-June 2014, regarding her role in the film, Tamannaah said that she would be playing the role of a warrior princess named Avanthika and her appearance in the film is completely different when compared to her past films.[60][61] Before joining the film's shoot, Tamannaah did costume trials for the film which she confirmed in her micro-blogging page stating "I am very excited to get on to the set of Baahubali. I did some dress trials today and my look in this movie will be totally new. I have never been seen in such sort of a look till now. It will be a new role for me."[62] Rajamouli called Tamannaah and her characterization as a "value addition" to the movie.[63] She later revealed "I play Avanthika, a character from an unspecified era. A lot of thought went into the costume and jewelry to get the look right. Director Rajamouli asked me to lose 5-6 kilos to look the part, so I followed a stringent workout and diet regimen to get the look right" in an interview to Hemanth Kumar of The Times of India.[64]
Sct. Annagade Skole. One of the school's most famous features was the spire on the south wing. Rather than getting sold for scrap, the spire was carefully dismantled during the demolition, and then placed into storage,
In 2017 it found a new home on Kulturhuset Elværket (a cultural center) in the suburb of Aabyhøj.
Sct. Annagade skole was a public school operating between 1950 and 1976. It consisted of several buildings, the oldest built back in 1880 as Aarhus Amtssygehus (hospital), inaugurated in 1882. In the years that followed, several extensions were added, including the main wing along Ingerslevs Boulevard in 1907, but it wasn't enough and the hospital outgrew the buildings, so a new one was built, starting in the mid 1930s. The old buildings were bought by Aarhus Kommune (municipality) and converted into a school, ready for inauguration in 1950.
The school was rather clumsily named Sct. Annagade Skole... Not only did it use a "c" in the name, rather than the "k" used in the street name (Sct. vs Skt.), but by making "Annagade" (Annastreet) one word, it also managed to completely mass up the meaning: Sct. Anna (or Skt. Anna) simply means St./Saint Anna, while the wording Sct./Skt. Annagade implies, that the school was named after a saint by the name saint Annagade!
Oh well, mistakes will happen, and they do.
By the mid 1970s, the number of students was rapidly declining, as families left the inner city for the suburbs and in 1976, the school closed down for good.
For the following decades, the buildings were used for all sorts of recreational purposes. From stamp collectors to hobby train enthusiasts all found facilities in the old school. The schoolyard was converted into a skateboard- and scooter park with ramps, while a big green area out in the back became a combined playground/park used by locals of all ages.
Over the years, the school became THE place to go and hang out, but the times were changing once again.
Up through the 1990s and 2000s, several small schools in the area closed down, and the remaining ones were getting severely outdated for modern educational standards. Rather than spending fortunes trying to modernize all over the place, it was decided to build one big new city school, Frederiksbjerg Skole, replacing the old Sct. Annagade skole, so in late spring 2014 the bulldozers moved in and demolished everything. The whole project was completed in time for the school semester 2016.
I decided to visit the old school shortly before it disappeared, wanting to capture not only the buildings, but also the atmosphere.
This is a bit complex, when trying to respect people's privacy: I don't want to censor everything - the school was not populated by a horde of blurred blobs, but by real people. I opted for a solution where I tried not to get too close and/or get any recognizable faces in the foreground. People in profile are ok, as are larger groups of people further back in the frame. I hope that I've managed to find a proper way to do things.

Covid-19 vaccine booster effectiveness wanes after four months but still offers protection, study finds
Booster doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna coronavirus vaccines are safe, and they offer high levels of protection against severe Covid-19 even though that protection can wane over time, according to two studies published by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday.
Evidence of waning protection "reinforces the importance of further consideration of additional doses to sustain or improve protection" against Covid-19-linked hospitalizatoions and emergency department visits," the study says.
One of the studies, published in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, examined vaccine effectiveness against Covid-19 hospitalizations and emergency department and urgent care visits among adults in the United States who were either fully vaccinated with two doses or received a third dose of vaccine as a booster. The data included 241,204 emergency department or urgent care visits and 93,408 hospitalizations across 10 states between August 26 and January 22.
The data showed that vaccine effectiveness against emergency department visits and hospitalizations was higher after the third dose than after the second dose but waned over time.
With the Omicron variant dominant in the United States, vaccine effectiveness was 87% against Covid-19 emergency department or urgent care visits and 91% against hospitalizations in the two months after a third dose. It fell to 66% and 78%, respectively, by the fourth month, the data showed.
After just two doses of vaccine, when the Omicron variant was predominant, vaccine effectiveness against hospitalizations declined from 71% in the two months after vaccination to 54% by at least five months, the study found.
The data also showed vaccine effectiveness dropping while the Delta variant was dominant.
Among recipients of three doses during the time Delta was dominant, vaccine effectiveness against Covid-19-associated hospitalizations declined from 96% within two months of vaccination to 76% at least months later. However, the researchers noted that the latter estimate could be imprecise because few data were available on people vaccinated for at least four months after a third dose during the time Delta was predominant.
Overall, "these findings underscore the importance of receiving a third dose of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine to prevent both COVID-19-associated ED/UC encounters and COVID-19 hospitalizations among adults," researchers at the CDC and other institutions across the United States wrote in the new study.
The other CDC study analyzed safety data on Covid-19 booster shots that was reported to the federal government's Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System between September and February among 721,562 adults who received booster shots.
The study found that booster doses of the coronavirus vaccines remain safe, and those who received the same type of vaccine for all of their vaccinations tended to have fewer reactions after the booster dose than after their second dose.
"Vaccination providers should educate patients that local and systemic reactions are expected following a homologous COVID-19 mRNA vaccine booster; however, these reactions are less common than those following the second primary series dose," wrote the researchers, from the CDC and the US Food and Drug Administration.

After Covid, risks of heart problems remain elevated for up to a year
Among the unvaccinated, long-term heart risks attributed to Covid-19 were "everywhere," researchers found.
As far as Michelle Wilson knew, she'd recovered from Covid-19.
Wilson, 65, contracted the virus in November 2020. Her illness, she said, was mild, and she was feeling ready to go back to work as a nurse in St. Louis by early December.
That's when her heart problems began.
"I literally woke up one morning, and my heart was racing and beating erratically," Wilson recalled. "I was having intense chest pain."
Fortunately, Wilson was not having a heart attack. But she did develop long-term heart problems, including high blood pressure, putting her at risk for further cardiovascular issues.
Despite her age, she had no prior medical history to suggest she was at risk for heart disease — other than Covid-19.
Indeed, it appears the coronavirus can leave patients at risk for heart problems for at least one year following infection, according to one of the largest analyses of post-Covid health effects to date.
The study, published last week in Nature Medicine, found that the illness increased the possibility of heart rhythm irregularities, as well as potentially deadly blood clots in the legs and lungs, in the year after an acute infection.
Covid also increased the risk for heart failure by 72 percent, heart attack by 63 percent and stroke by 52 percent — even among those, like Wilson, whose original illnesses were mild.
The study's lead author, Dr. Ziyad Al-Aly, a clinical epidemiologist at Washington University in St. Louis, said he and his colleagues expected to see some elevation in heart problems following Covid, but assumed it would be limited largely to people whose health wasn’t robust previously.
The elevated risk remained when researchers accounted for age and race, he said.
"It was a bit of a moment for us when we realized it was evident in all of these subgroups," Al-Aly said, "including younger adults, older adults, Black people, white people, people with obesity and those without."
"The risk was everywhere," he said.
Al-Aly's team examined the rates of new heart problems among 153,760 Covid patients for up to a year following their illness. The participants were patients who'd sought care within the Department of Veterans Affairs, and most were white men.
Cardiovascular outcomes were compared to two control groups: 5.6 million people without Covid, and another 5.9 million patients whose data was collected before the pandemic began.
Covid-19 patients in this study were infected before vaccines were available, so it is unclear how the shots might alter the findings.
But physicians on the front lines of treating Covid and its effects suspect vaccinations do cut heart risks because they reduce Covid infections in general.
"I've taken care of patients with heart problems" after Covid-19 infection, said Dr. Steve Nissen, a cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic. "The vast majority are unvaccinated."
That Covid-19 appears to increase long-term risks of cardiovascular problems is not surprising to doctors. Other viruses, such as influenza and certain enteroviruses, have long been known to carry the same risks.
"Anybody who is hospitalized with any kind of pneumonia that they acquire in the community has these risks for six to 12 months," said Dr. Donald Lloyd-Jones, president of the American Heart Association. "The open question for me is, is this something unique about Covid? Or is this the same story we already know?"
Covid's heart risks may be showing up with more regularity just because the virus spread so quickly.
"It's very concerning because so many people will be getting Covid in the next however many years, and so many have already gotten it," said Dr. Jennifer Haythe, co-director of the Women's Center for Cardiovascular Health at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York. "This may really increase the burden of cardiovascular disease across the board."
Al-Aly's research is not the first to suggest long-term heart risks following Covid-19.
A study of recovered Covid patients in Germany found that 78 percent of patients had heart abnormalities. Swedish research, too, found an increased risk of heart attack and stroke following Covid-19.
It is not entirely clear how Covid could cause heart problems over the long term, though it is known that the virus can affect blood vessels all over the body and in multiple organs, including the heart.
For Wilson, the irregular heartbeat has endured.
She has had to sleep nearly upright for months.
"It got so bad that when I laid down, I couldn't sleep because my heart was so erratic," she said.
Her physicians are now monitoring her for any indication of heart failure.
Regardless of infection, the pandemic itself is also upping the risk of heart health problems.
"Too many patients are delaying getting back into their routine within the health care system," Lloyd-Jones said. "We've seen marked increases in overall blood pressure levels, weight gain, worsening control of diabetes, and all of those things are contributing to increased risk."
Anyone whose Covid recovery stalls, or who experiences a sudden onset of new symptoms, such as chest pain, intense muscle weakness or shortness of breath, should call 911 immediately, Lloyd-Jones said.
Those aren't just red flags, he said. "Those are flashing lights."

"Old Town Square (Czech: Staroměstské náměstí [ˈstaroˌmɲɛstskɛː ˈnaːmɲɛsciː] or colloquially Staromák [ˈstaromaːk]) is a historic square in the Old Town quarter of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. It is located between Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge.
The square features buildings belonging to various architectural styles, including the Gothic Church of Our Lady before Týn, which has been the main church of this part of the city since the 14th century. Its characteristic towers are 80 m high. The Baroque St. Nicholas Church is another church located in the square.
Prague Orloj is a medieval astronomical clock mounted on the Old Town Hall. The clock was first installed in 1410, making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one still in operation. The tower of the Old Town Hall is open to the public and offers panoramic views of the Old Town.
An art museum of the Czech National Gallery is located in the Kinský Palace.
The square's centre is home to a statue of religious reformer Jan Hus, who was burned at the stake in Konstanz for his beliefs. This led to the Hussite Wars. The statue known as the Jan Hus Memorial was erected on 6 July 1915 to mark the 500th anniversary of his death.
In front of the Old Town Hall, there is also a memorial to the "martyrs" (including Jan Jesenius and Maxmilián Hošťálek) beheaded on that spot during the Old Town Square execution by Habsburgs, after the Battle of White Mountain. Twenty-seven crosses mark the pavement in their honour. The crosses were installed during the repairs of the Old Town Hall after the Second World War, while a nearby plaque which lists the names of all 27 victims dates from 1911. On 3 November 1918, a Marian Column that had been erected in the square shortly after the Thirty Years' War was demolished in celebration of independence from the Habsburg empire. The column was re-erected in 2020.

The world is full of strange coincidences. The chain of events just won't stop coagulating especially when the flow of your life is going full steam ahead, yet It takes tremendous effort for a man to run fast but still able to stop in the midst of chaos for contemplations resulting in clearer visions. I treasure these sleepless nights.
My last post was about a product combining pen and compass features. When I was posting it, I recalled another two products combining pen and ruler features. Ruler..... somehow I couldn't stop thinking about ruler. Unconsciously I went to organize my old digital photos thinking about work, suddenly 4 pictures stopped my skimming, pictures I thought I took not long ago, they are photos of my father's ruler.
"Not long ago" I thought, they were taken when I visited my parents for dinner, together with me and my brother's family. I was helping out to clean the table and I opened a drawer for a pair of scissors, this very ruler caught my sight and soon as I pulled it out from the drawer a stream of emotions came rushing through my body. It was a ruler of punishment and I recalled studying the details of it many times when I was young. My father would use it to hit our palms when we were naughty. The exact events I could never recall but the sensation remains sharp. I joked by saying to my father "hey Dad, I remember you used this to hit our palms and buttocks when we were naughty" and my father immediately said "No I love you so much I could never use this to hit you!" Tears were swelling in my eyes but I kept it cool. He couldn't remember a single incidence. Looking back, the hitting is nothing at all now, the love from the old man is compensating a thousand times more. My little brother, did you hear what he said? It is timeless and invisible yet so real!
My father's ruler. A customization he did, sawed from a larger ruler from his day of wig-making career. His love of Chinese paintings became his final career as an art piece buyer, I was soaked in the world of art and form appreciation without knowing it. The ruler, my career as a stationery buyer, the love of art, the ruler. Its all connection in invisible ways. The tide comes and goes, the tie remains.
"Not so long ago" I thought. How long ago? I checked the date just now, it was 20th November 2006, exactly one year passed by! Not so long ago, whether I possess it or not, the ruler will be the prove of love for my life in strangest ways. Someday, I will understand the significance of the number "6" on this ruler, someday.

mining areas are found throughout the Silverton
area, including the Animas Forks townsite and
Sound Democrat Mine. During the summer months,
the area features four-wheel trails and tours, which
make it easy to explore the Alpine Loop Backcountry
Byway. The winter season offers a variety of winter
sports including skiing at the expert-level, 1,300-acre
Silverton Ski Area and adjacent 13,000-acre permitted
heli-skiing area. In addition to three fourteeners and
more than a dozen alpine peaks, the Alpine Triangle
features spectacular landscapes, winding streams
and picturesque wildflower displays. Not only does
this area cater to those who love wildlife and nature
viewing, the area also offers trails designated for
OHVs and other types of motorized recreation.

William Bruder
Artist and architect Will Bruder's association with the Cosanti Foundation dates back to the early workshops with Paolo Soleri held at Cosanti. He joined the Foundation's board of directors in 1995. Bruder earned a bachelors of arts degree in sculpture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is a self-trained architect who studied with Paolo Soleri, William Wenzel and Gunnar Birkets. Since opening his private design studio in 1974, he has had a distinguished career in architecture with over 350 commissions and over 400 articles published about his work.

Saxlingham Thorpe church was abandoned in 1684. In 1687 an application was made for it to be 'ruinated' by which I assume it could be legally robbed of useable materials such as wood, lead and glass for use elsewhere. This may explain the odd-shaped glass at nearby Saxlingham Nethergate church as the parish council's current online history notes that these windows were clearly not originally made for the Nethergate church. They appear to have been recycled from Thorpe to Nethergate.
The parish council website also suggests that the ruined church was once called "The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary" but was also called St Mary the Virgin - as Nethergate's surviving church still is. After the Thorpe church was abandoned it was also known as St Mary Magdalen.
What remains today is an essentially flint rubble core with a little bit of dressed stone and some red brick and tile. I noted high up in the tower some flat red tile suggesting a Roman site may be nearby and this was robbed for material. In the north wall of the chancel there is a blocked Norman window so all appearances are of a late Norman church with some 13th and 14th century additions as I note some medieval brick around the door and window. The nave and chancel are almost the same width and there is no sign of any aisles ever being added.

Leeton. Population 7,500.
Like Griffith, Leeton was a child of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area and also a town designed by the architect who laid out Canberra, Walter Burley Griffin. One of the three men behind the establishment of the MIA was Sir Samuel McCaughey who had a grand house built just outside of Leeton in Euroley Road Yanco. It is now the Yanco Agricultural High School. McCaughey had started his own private irrigation system with channel at Yanco in the early 20th century for pastoralism. He bought Yanco pastoral station (he already had several others) and at great cost built over 300 kms of water channels so that he could not irrigate but supply water to 40,000 acres. In 1906, as a Member of the Legislative Council he envisaged a big government scheme that would support of population of over 50,000 people. In 1906 the NSW government passed a bill to construct the Burrinjuck Dam. Water from that dam first became available in 1912. By 1960 there were over 1,900 kms of water supply channel, over 1,200 kms of drainage channels. The town was named Leeton after the Minister of Public Works at that time Charles Lee. The MIA water supply is now for horticulture more than pastoralism except in the outer areas. Leeton is now the rice capital of Australia but extensive areas of citrus trees and vines are grown. McCaughey’s dream ended for him in 1919 when he died at his home in Yanco. His estate was valued at £1,600 million of which he left to charities, the Presbyterian Church, hospitals etc. and a quarter of his estate went to the University of Sydney. At one time before his death he owned around 3.25 million acres! His sandstone and brick mansion at Yanco was left to the area as a school.
The central park in Leeton is McCaughey Park. Walter Burley Griffin was a follower of the Garden City Movement, like Charles Reade the designer of Colonel Light Gardens hence the curved and circular roads, and the avoidance of rectangles and squared corners. Streets were designed to follow contours and the highest point of Leeton, opposite the Hydro Hotel has three decorative water towers named after Walter Burley Griffin. The oldest was erected in 1913, the second in 1937 and the last in 1974 to feed water by gravity to the town. The first solid building built in Leeton was the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Trust offices in 1912 which later became the Water Conservation and Irrigation Commission building in 1937 when a new Art Deco building was opened. . It is now the town museum and art gallery. This Trust employed the men who built the town and in the early years 250 homes were built each year, and the Trust workshops employed about 100 men. Because so much of the town was built during the Art Deco period with 21 buildings registered by the NSW Art Deco society which is impressive as they only list about 80 in the Sydney region. Most of the best examples of Art Deco in Leeton are mainly in: Pine and Kurrajong Avenues. Leeton has an annual Art Deco festival during July each year. Most of the earliest building in Leeton were timber framed and the beautiful Art Deco ones came along in the 1920s to 1940s.
In terms of development of the region at lot happened in 1914 as farmers were on their lands and residents were accommodated in Leeton and workers accommodated in barracks. The Leeton Progress Association was formed in 1914 as were the Yanco Agricultural and Horticultural Society, the Murrumbidgee Dairy Farmers Association (the butter rectory opened in 1913), the Murrumbidgee Farmers Union and the local newspaper, The Murrumbidgee Irrigator began publishing. Clarkes brothers General Store was in a solid shop as opposed to the 1911 tin shed. The one teacher school built in 1911 had five teachers and around 300 children by 1914. A Catholic School began in 1917 using the church as its school room until 1936. By 1914 Leeton had Methodist (replaced 1937), Baptist (replaced 1937), Anglican (the parish hall added in 1929) and Catholic churches (replaced in 1955). The current Presbyterian Church was built in 1957, replacing the 1916 timber framed one. By 1914 Leeton had only one Bank that of NSW (replaced in 1938). A second bank did not open until 1920 – the Commercial Bank of Sydney (replaced in 1957.) Leeton is a prosperous still growing town. One of the important employers in town is the Sunrise rice mill. It is the headquarters of Sunrise Australia which exports much of the rice not destined for the domestic market in Australia. In recent years Leeton has made a positive attempt to attract and befriend immigrant workers and families. Many are needed for the local abattoirs and agricultural work. There is now a sizeable Afghan community in Leeton with the highest proportion outside of Sydney. Leeton has small communities of Fijians, Pacific Islanders and East African workers. Cotton is also grown near Leeton. In terms of industry the town cannery was crucial and the major employed.
The NSW government cannery opened in Leeton in 1914 with government contracts for tinned fruit, vegetables and orange juice. The State Cannery eventually became Leeton Cooperative Cannery. It employed around 750 people throughout the year with a peak work force double that during the harvest season. In its last decades is marketed fruit etc as Letona brand. Sadly the cannery closed in 1994. Letona also sold locally grown rice as Letona Rice. The rice growing industry in Leeton began in 1924 and two sisters. Lois and Margaret Grant were among the first six pioneers of rice growing when it started. Lois Grant succeeded so well in this male industry and she was a founding member of the MIA Rice growing Cooperative Society. The cooperative marketed its rice as SunRice. It is now marketed as SunWhite Rice. Leeton is still a major rice producing region of Australia and most is produced for export. Australia including Leeton and the Riverina region leads the world in water efficient and sustainable and highly mechanised rice growing. The MIA grows much of Australia’s rice with more grown in other regions of the Riverina. About 25,000 to 65,000 hectares are used for rice growing in the MIA depending on the season and water allocations. There are between two rice mills in the Riverina with a major one near Leeton. The other major mill for SunWhite is at Deniliquin. One hectare sown in rice can produce about 12 tons of rice grain.
Some Art Deco structures to look for in Chelmsford Place and in the Main St which is Pine Ave. Starting at the top of Chelmsford Place by the Art Deco Walter Burley Griffin designed water tanks.
•The Walter Burley Griffin water towers. Oldest is 1913.
•The Hydro Hotel. Built as a coffee palace as Leeton originally teetotal site. Built in 1919 and burnt down in 1924. Rebuilt in Art Deco style 1924-26 and re-opened in 1927.The interior has many deco features.
•Water Conservation and Irrigation Commission headquarters. Erected 1937. It has many heritage items in the excellent little museum. It is also the Leeton Art Gallery. Worth a visit. It closes 3 pm.
•Leeton Town Council and Shire Offices. No Art Deco features. Built in 1962. Modernist style.
•The Art Deco Fire station with rounded corners, inset brick work etc. Includes stepped features over doorway. Built in 1938.
•At the roundabout turn left near the modern Art Deco style bus shelter. In front is the Roxy Theatre and the Art Deco memorial clock in the roundabout. The Roxy is to re-open in 2025 after renovations. Built in 1929-30. Check foyer if you can. The memorial clock was unveiled in 1926 in Art Deco style and the clock added in 1965.
•In Pine Ave. First on left is the Commonwealth Bank. This structure built in 1935.
•On the next corner intersection is Leeton Mall in brick with some Art deco features. This was the former Richards Store. A cream and red brick structure with stepped shapes on chamfered corner entrance. Building has vertical and horizontal banding. Built in 1936.
•Next left is the Hotel Leeton a much earlier structure but some Art Deco features. It was built in 1926.
•Nearly opposite is the Seton and Beyond Bank building with some great Art Deco detail with stylistic Rose and radiating rays.
•Just before the next side street adjacent to the Leeton Hotel is the Murrumbidgee Irrigator newspaper offices. Established 1915 but this Pine Ave building is marked as 1928.
•Over the next side street on opposite is the former Kinlock’s store. Built in 1938. Turn around here/
•Almost opposite it is the current Leeton Steel building. It was built in 1930s as the Leeton Fruit Growers Cooperative.
•On the way back take Church Street through to the Park. The Wade Hotel is on the corner with excellent Art Deco motifs. Architect designed and built in 1937. Named after the first head of irrigation for the MIA. As you cross Mountford Park on your left will be the modern St Peters Anglican Church. The first church was built in 1913 of locally made adobe bricks. The newer Church Hall was built in 1929. This Church was built in 1973.
•The next building on your right is the Leeton Courthouse. It was built in 1922 and opened in August 1924.
•On your left is the impressively large red brick Catholic Church. Wagga architect S J O’Halloran designed it in 1951. To facilitate the building, the Wagga Wagga diocese purchased the Yanco Brickworks in 1951 to produced 440,000 bricks for the church. The Romanesque style church is asymmetrical with a round stained glass window over the entry. It was completed in 1955 and at that time was the largest Catholic Church in country NSW. Return to the roundabout and the Roxy Theatre going past some good Art Deco buildings including the Morris Chambers.
One of the many nice features of this catalogue is that it includes prices -- probably wholesale rather than retail. Given that it was issued on the brink of the great Civil War inflation, it would have been rapidly amended. To convert these prices into 2015 equivalents, multiply by approximately 380 -- this will express them as the same proportion of average blue-collar wages in 2015 as they were in 1861. Garden fountains are beautiful outdoor water accents. Outdoor fountains are used in public parks, gardens, yards, patios and decks. The most traditional design is a tiered waterfall with multiple levels where the water cascades down many levels of stone. A garden fountain is very dramatic and has a high degree of water noise and motion due to the water becoming airborne and crashing into the lower level pool below. The water finds it's way into the pool at the bottom and is taken back to the top again by a powerful water pump to begin it's journey anew. Some famous artists and sculptors have created garden water features which add life and elegance to their sculptures. Today craftsmen and increased knowledge have made available garden fountains for private residences.

Imaging techniques reliant on spectral variation produce identical results for greyscale images unless non-visible data is present. Deviations from this uniformity may indicate errors, misinterpretations, or unknown phenomena.
Contention persists over analytical debates, including dismissible claims like Van Allen belt dangers and contested evidence of lunar mirrors. The precision of laser reflections targeting a moving 3x3-foot marker on the Moon highlights technical skill but often fails to resolve skepticism. For instance, a 0.1° shift moves a laser spot 670 km across the Moon's surface.
Forensic analysis (2022, 2023) of Apollo 11–17 photographs assessed authenticity claims. Images of humans in space, Earth, and the Moon's distant views were validated, but Moon landing visuals showed variations, suggesting diverse techniques may have replicated certain elements.

Donegall Place in Belfast features a number of interesting lighting masts and over the years I have tried to photograph them but I have always been disappointed by the resulting images.
Each mast celebrates Northern Ireland’s industrial maritime heritage and commemorates one of the great White Star Line ships built in Belfast by Harland and Wolff. Names of the vessels are as follows on order of their position from City Hall:

I received a few messages asking why I am writing Donegall rather than Donegal. In Belfast they have Donegall Pass, Donegall Road, Donegal Place and Donegall Streets [to name but a few]. The popular explanation was that when Arthur Chichester, the founder of Belfast, was made the Earl Of Donegal a clerical error resulted in the family becoming the Earls Of Donnegall.

Inspired by The Liger Zero (ライガーゼロ Raigā Zero) is a Lion-Type Zoid, one of over 200 species of bio-mechanical life forms that form the Zoid race and provide the basis for TOMY’s model kit, anime, and comic-based Zoids franchise. The Liger Zero is the main characters' Zoid in Zoids: New Century (the first Zoids series to be dubbed into English and shown in the US), and Zoids: Fuzors.
It was also featured in both the Chaotic Century and New Century manga series and played a role in the Battle Story. As a model, it was the centre of Hasbro's New American Release marketing campaign, making it one of the most widely recognisable Zoids in the entire franchise.
The Liger Zero is a Lion-type Zoid used primarily by the Helic Republic, though some variants are used by the Guylos Empire. Unlike its predecessor, the Blade Liger, the Liger Zero is not a derivative of an older design, but rather a completely new Zoid. Although it is primarily used by the Republic, its original prototype data belonged to the Guylos Empire (which derived it from a wild Zoid), which was later stolen by the Republic forces and put into mass production to be used in their war (during the Battle Story). The Guylos Empire would eventually counter it with new variants of their own CAS-customised Ligers such as the Liger Zero X.

The forceful features and developed musculature of this figure are very striking. Traces of paint indicate that he had a moustache and wore a broad collar.
The statue has recently been identified as one probably from a tomb at the southern site of El Kab that may date from the early Fourth Dynasty. The style, which has no good parallels in Old Kingdom statues found at Saqqara and Giza, would seem to reflect a regional style.

Kettlewell churchyard features a number of metal plaques set into large pieces of local limestone, in place of conventional gravestones. This one marks the last resting place of Charles Godfrey Cutcliffe Hyne, only son of early 20th century adventure writer Charles John Cutcliffe Hyne.
The younger Charles was a few days short of his nineteenth birthday when he died of wounds sustained during the Battle of the Somme in 1916. The last line of the inscription, Wilfred Owen's "the old lie", quotes Horace (Odes III.2.13).

Ingleborough
Limestones are affected by acidic rainwater and chemical weathering results in a number of characteristic solution features in a limestone landscape. The landscape surrounding Ingleborough serves as a good example of karst features in a single area.
Trow Gill Gorge , Ingleborough.
Towards the end of the last ice age, meltwater from the retreating ice, near what is now Ingleborough, was not able to take its normal subterreanean route, because the cave system was blocked by permafrost. Instead it rushed over the surface, down what is now Fell Beck and cascaded into Clapdale, rapidly eroding the dale floor. When the glaciers were in retreat, huge quantities of water would have flowed through Trow Gill. The meltwater cut down rapidly through the rock, eroding a spectacular gorge, 20 m deep in places and only 3 m wide at its narrowest.However, the glaciers had also eroded away the valley floor, lowering the level of resurgence. For this reason, with the disappearance of the ice fields and glaciers, the water followed a new subterranean route to the new resurgence level, and Trow Gill was left 'high and dry'.
Dry valleys

After the limestones accumulated in the warm tropical sea of the Carboniferous climates, sands and grits were washed down from the land and deposited on top. These sands and grits are still on top of the limestone and cap the Pennines of the Yorkshire Dales, such as at Ingleborough Hill. Water flows over the sands and grits more easily than limestone, so rivers radiate out from Ingleborough. But as soon as they start to flow over the limestone, they disappear below ground, leaving behind a dry valley.Crina Bottom is an example of dry valley to the south-east of Ingleborough. Further dry valleys occur north of Clapdale and a beheaded older dry valley joins Trow Gill at Foxholes, but the other dry valleys of Ingleborough are quite shallow. During the last ice age, when the ground was frozen, Fell Beck flowed over the surface of Simon Fell, heading towards the outlet through Trow Gill. While the water flowed over the surface, it eroded a 'dendritic' system of stream channels, which can still be seen in the contours of the hillside.
Blind valleys

Blind valleys are one of the characteristic features of karst scenery. They carry a stream for part of their course, but then the water disappears down a sinkhole or swallow hole. On the flanks of Ingleborough, a number of streams flow over the sandstones and shales on the summits of the hills, but disappear underground when they reach the limestone.There are a few blind valleys on Ingleborough, but they occur where there is a cover of glacial till that allows the streams that originate on the upland areas to flow over the limestone. Rivers that flow off Simon Fell have formed several blind valleys between Newby Moss and the Allotment, although none are large. Fell Beck forms a blind valley where it disappears down Gaping Gill. The beck flows off the sandstone and shales onto the till, which it erodes to disappear down the swallow hole. Downhill from Gaping Gill, there is no river to erode the till. Uphill of the swallow hole, however, the river continues to erode so that it is much lower here than on the downhill side. A cliff forms downhill of the swallow hole, facing uphill.
A little further east, the Allotment potholes and Marble Steps Pot also provide examples of blind valleys.
Sinkholes (dolines)

Ingleborough has a large number of dolines along its benches, including solution and collapse dolines and many swallow holes.
Gaping Gill is an example of a swallow hole. Here, Fell Beck, which drains Simon Fell on the eastern side of Ingleborough, cascades down the vertical shaft to the cave floor 100 m below ground. Gaping Gill forms Britain's largest unbroken waterfall.
Limestone pavements
Limestone pavement, Moughton.
Erosion by glacial scour has resulted in the exposure of numerous limestone pavements on the benches and plateaux of the Yorkshire Dales. On the eastern side of Ingleborough, the limestone pavement extends 8 km along Chapel-le-Dale, from Crina Bottom to Ribblehead. To the east, limestone pavements are found from Alum Pot to Norber and Moughton.Some of the largest clints occur at Scar Close, but in other areas the clints are greatly reduced due to the widening of the grykes by acid rain. Chemical weathering has also resulted in the development of karren.When glaciers move down valleys, the moraine they carry gouges grooves into the bare surface rock underneath. In some of the newly exposed limestone pavements of Ingleborough, striations cut by the glaciers can be seen. However, these are dissolved away by the rain within a decade or so of being exposed.
Erratics
The glacial history of the karst of Yorkshire is reflected in the huge erratic blocks that are seen, particularly around Norber.
Here, Silurian sandstone blocks 2 m high rest on the limestone. The erratics were carried uphill from Crummackdale by the ice. In some cases, the erratic block protects the underlying limestone from chemical weathering, and during the last 10 000 years the surrounding limestone has been lowered so that the erratics now appear to stand on limestone plinths up to 0.5 m high.
Scars When glaciers moved down the valleys, the side of the valley was scoured and the rock plucked away to leave long cliff-like scars. There are fine examples in the Ingleborough area, such as those of Sulber and Moughton, around Crummackdale and perhaps one of the most famous is Kilnsey Crag.
