You've got a fast car, Is it fast enough so we can fly away? ♫♪

If it wasn't for one of these services running late then this shot would not have been possible! Avanti West Coast Class 390 Pendolino 390020 arrives into Lichfield Trent Valley working 1F23 13.07 London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street as 390001 passes on the down fast, running 5 minutes late, working 1H22 13.13 London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly.

Done for Macro Monday's theme: "Fast"

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

sadly, this shed, and the beautiful open space around it, is now lost forever, sold out from under us by SA to Cedar Woods Properties for their horrid legoland monstrosity "fletcher's slip"

Fahrerflucht. Absconding.

Fast becoming a crappy jetty....but just look at the view out across Loch Shiel.......watercolour beautiful.

Back from a few days down south near Kames and Tighnabruaich, Argyll, it's nice to be home.

But if you want a tip for a fabulous pitch to wild camp try Skipness, just over the water from Arran

We visit the Lakes again soon. This is one from a while back where we'd had an extraordinary amount of rainfall and all the outlets were over run ... This was taken as the light was fading fast.

She's growing up damn fast whilst being such a friendly soul.

The blue cast comes from the quality street wrapper over the flash.

I added the motion blur in GIMP which was partly inspired by jonwild's work. But mine is nowhere near as cool!

As the sun rises above the Pacific Ocean, the air is punctuated with the smell of sea salt, citrus, and cherry blossoms. Here, while capturing the remaining morning freight trains on the Tokaido Main Line, the adjacent Tokaido Shinkansen is getting up to speed, so to speak, as a Tokyo bound service whisks under the orange groves in Ishibashi.

This ring-necked duck is paddling pretty fast, probably in an effort to catch a nearby female. Either that, or the beer is getting cold.

When these first started growing I thought these were cherries. They are plums and I'm hoping they mature fast enough so we can taste them.

GOLDEN HANDSHAKE? LOL

An Autumn Sunday in North-Wales.

Little winding roads amongst the golden larches, up towards Mount Snowdon, this river surprised me with its golden and indigo colours, the limpid water ice cold and wild.

Wales, with its dramatic scenery, is steeped in mystery and romance.

Its majestic heather-clad hills cut by cascading waterfalls, and mountain streams rushing through gladed valleys are both the places of legends and of history running back into the mists of time.

Yet, beneath the quartzite surface of this jewelled landscape, there is another treasure, as valuable as it is beautiful – Welsh gold.

Today, Welsh gold is scarcer than it has ever been.

When mining took place at the Clogau St. David’s Gold Mine in the late 1990s it used to cost over £1000 an ounce to extract.

Look at that golden hand, maybe a giant fell?

Isn't imagination a wonderful gift?

I wish you all a golden day and thank you for visiting, Magda (*_*)

Pancake tortoises are native to the area of Tanzania and Kenya. The species is thought to be the fastest tortoise in the world. They can quickly evade predators by scampering under rocks, and even climbing nearly vertical services. Unlike many other tortoises, if they find themselves on their backs, they can flip upright quickly.
