Our Frodo loves to sit in his window perch where he can look out of three different windows at once, taking in all the sights of the bird, squirrel and chipmunk activity.
Lately Frodo has become a fast-footed feline of expert escaping! Thankfully the times he's escaped the weather has been most unpleasant and he has returned without too much time lapsing... once he realizes there are no treats, tummy rubs or nice comfy perches to sleep on.
Today was chilly, windy and very rainy, and it looks like I captured him day dreaming - most likely wondering why he keeps trying to escape when it's just so darn nice inside!

50049 and 50007 zip along the Up Derby Fast towards Washwood Heath East Junction running as 0Z50 Duddeston Junction to Leicester L.I.P. The pair had headed 5Z50 and were due to drop off the train at Hams Hall but much to the surprise of the gallery at Whitacre the train continued towards Birmingham so myself and young Rob made haste to Bromford Bridge and captured both 5Z50 and 0Z50, nice.
SONY 135mm 1.8 GM
This fast moving Thunder Cloud caught up the sun much faster than I thought, so I could not reach to the spot that I wanted, I had to stop and find the best possible place. For Landscape Photography the SONY 135mm 1.8 GM is very sharp, with excellent contrast and colors.

The end of the Pier was disap'pier'ing fast as the fog came in rapidly yesterday on the seafront. Time to grab so fresh fish and chips!
The Tour Down Under is about to start again in Adelaide and surrounding areas from tomorrow. It attracts some of the world's elite cyclists to South Australia in January - our summer and has been run here for 20+ years..

A quiet, cloudy afternoon in Tamaqua is interrupted by the passing of Reading & Northern's train NRFF, powered by five SD50s as it passes the ex-Reading station in town. This was the first time catching one R&N's SD50s in the gray "Fast Freight Service" in the lead.

A few weeks ago I didn't feel like travelling a lot, so it seemed like a nice idea to check out my own environment.
This appeared to be a good decision. I found some barn swallow with their youngsters. It was great fun to watch the parents fly off and an on while the baby swallows cried for 'Bigger, Better, Faster, Moooooore..!'
Normally I bike around and -unlike when driving in a car- every animal runs, flies or swims away as soon as they see me and my Giant. So this time I slowly walked towards them, closer and closer and finally they were in the reach of my 300mm and...stayed there! ;)
While all the mayhem was happening this morning, a Pale Faced Rosella briefly dropped through. This little one has dropped in several times lately.
Duncan may be good. Foske is fast! How shall I put it? She cruises at extreme low altitudes most of the time. Man, she's fast! She is so fast, she overruns the general game population and then sits back to watch them catch up...gently inquiring as to their stamina and such.
