I understand displaying an ad for NFLshop.com on a football blog. But, c'mon! Really? This is the best your algorithm can do? Show a Tony Romo jersey on a Pittsburgh Steelers blog?
Total fail.
(Oh, if you want to read the 10 things, scoot on over to Steelers Depot.)
Today my GP tried to remove my magnetic implant, but it proved difficult- it had migrated deep in my finger, and came apart as he tried to get a hold of it. Almost from the first incision before he got anywhere near it shards of the magnet started coming out, and it seems the main body of the magnet adhered to scar tissue. For now, and probably ever, it's staying inside.
Saw this off Regent St.
It's a "trial hole", but given it's all still level with the street, it's fair to say trial result = fail.
Minolta x700, Canon AE-1, failed development. When you learn, you learn! Sharp magenta coloration due to low temperature in development, causing emulsion to not fully degrade. Highlights and shadows have extreme editing to save any detail left on film. It was a beautiful day on the dunes, nonetheless.
No, it's not the funniest of fails, but it made me laugh when I got the YouTube error one of FailBlog's video posts. Also posted to icanhascheezburger here.

PANMUNJOM - With weapons at the ready, members of 194th Combat
Sustainment Support Battalion set out at dawn to conduct convoy
live-fire training here, March 25.
The fast-paced exercise exposed Soldiers to many of the real-world
perils found on today's asymmetric battlefield, culminating in a series
of drills designed to hone their skills in reacting to road-side bombs
and enemy small-arms fire.
"These Soldiers have been training for the past six months to prepare
for this day and their hard work is evident in the outstanding
performance I've seen throughout the battalion," said Command Sgt. Maj.
Nichelle S. Fails.
At times gritty and intense, the Soldiers worked in teams to zero in on
enemy targets with their rifles and machine guns.
"This scenario is interesting and very realistic," said Pvt. Jiwoo Kim,
a KATUSA assigned to the battalion.
Pvt. Dylan Florres, a battalion mechanic and one of the day's enemy
combatant role-players, sees the training as realistic and a good way to
build unit cohesion. "What we are doing is basically helping Soldiers
learn how to train safely and work as a team," he said.
"Everybody is highly motivated and ready to fight," said Chief Warrant
Officer 4 Joseph Williams, HHC, 194th Combat Support Sustainment
Battalion, safety officer. "Taking care of our Soldiers is very
important, we don't want any injuries. That's why we do risk assessments
and go over all of the details to make this a very safe, yet realistic,
training environment."
Master Sgt. Kenneth Ashley, the day's pyrotechnics NCO, described the
training as important in building teamwork within the battalion. "Here
in Korea and in places like Iraq and Afghanistan, we need to make sure
our Soldiers know how to react under fire and to ensure they are
prepared for anything the enemy throws at them."

Dear City of Chicago,
Worried about low levels of participation in the 2010 Census? Don't answer; I know you are. Maybe, just maybe, you should contact the USPS. I'd be willing to bet our apartment isn't the only one in the City where Census information was simply thrown on the floor with the rest of the junk mail, since this is how we also received the original Census form.
Of 8 units at this address, I can tell you that we are probably the only one who filled ours out, because we are the only ones willing to sift through dirty junk mail to catch the post office's mistakes.
Sincerely,
Josh Koonce

A real shame about the missing pieces, but at least the box was marked as such.
If I had really been punk, there would have been no text book in my arm. Much less a 'covered' text book.
Yep. Punk Fail. 1987.
I went shooting hoping to emulate Robert Capa's war images with party photography, but all I got was this image of people dry humping. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
The Government’s transformation strategy set out a vision for modernising public services using digital technology. But does it go far enough? How can internet-enabled Government transform public services?
'Better Public Services: A Manifesto' argues that previous efforts to use technology to improve public services have failed, and that new operating models are needed which draw upon the best practices of digital organisations.
To present the key proposals from their new collaboratively developed manifesto, the IfG welcomed Dr Mark Thompson, Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at Cambridge Judge Business School and Strategy Director, Methods Group, and Dr Jerry Fishenden, Co-Founder and Principal, Stance Global and Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey.
Lesley Cowley OBE, Chair of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency and Companies House, responded.
The event was chaired by Daniel Thornton, Programme Director at the Institute.
