As I wandered around the Broley barn again on a hot day when I caught sight of the rusty corrugated siding I turned and saw the accumulation of siding intended to (perhaps) keep walls on the old barn. I don't know if any cottonwood found it's way into the barn but it appears there is a lot of really poor ponderosa pine used. Let's hope your house is tighter than this. I admit that I am still looking Broley's over to try to get my seeing ability untracked. Decisions! In this case, I treated the siding to RAW layers and the technique I use a lot now just like I did the clouds example I showed earlier. I find I can exploit the textures on any surface. I may visit the barn yet again even before the weather cools in the fall. I finished the chokecherry episodes and have plenty of juice in the refrigerator to turn into jelly and syrup. That might be any day late summer this year considering recent heat and skies.

The chokecherries took me by surprise this year by arriving weeks early in a summer of record heat. I gave up arguing with folks who are convinced their CO2 doesn't leave Boulder County. When enough proof to convince them arrives, it will be far too late. The resurrection day will be far over when we can combat the fossil fuel industry power in buying opinions and politics. Here, we have strung up a year of over a dozen days of hundred degree readings where there are seldom one or two. The N.C.A.R. scientists say to get ready. Are you ready for your new lifestyle?

failed, but i still wanted to put this up.

Since the pano is such a wide image, it's hard to appreciate just how big in the sky this storm cloud was. It took me 5 pics at 18mm to fit it all in. It was raining a couple hundred yards out from the pier, but here it seems so far away.

and you should really really view this large!

Tommy's attempt to do a time lapse of the speed build actually did fail in the end..

You'd think that when you died on a Donkey Kong level (I'm talking SNES here), you just get to start over. This isn't the case. Fuck up too many times on the mine cart levels and you'll find yourself lying in a muddy estuary in Fife.

I'm assuming this has something to do with the abandoned paper mill but I have no idea what connection it actually has. Just because it's funny to make these, here's a fake instragram* version of the photo. Doesn't it look stupid?

*I call it that because I added all the weird filters and effects myself in photoshop.

Minolta x700, Canon AE-1, failed development. When you learn, you learn! Sharp magenta coloration due to low temperature in development, causing emulsion to not fully degrade. Highlights and shadows have extreme editing to save any detail left on film. It was a beautiful day on the dunes, nonetheless.

Mac OS X 10.5 install failed from install disc, and the error messages were always blaming NetInstall failing.

The good news: Three years after Webshots was sold, they’ve finally relaunched the ProShots section of the site.

The bad news: Sadly, they made an amateur Flash mistake. Fail. Notice the Flash plugin failure notice, next to my plugins list showing I have Flash 10.0.42 installed.

To add insult to injury, the (ugly, as always) advertisement pictured on the page is Flash, and loaded it just fine.

*rolls eyes*

I made designs for the redesign of ProShots over ≤i≥four years ago (not this pictured design, which I make absolutely no claim to), and CNET Networks sadly never had enough resources to complete it (also fail). Webshots was sold by CNET Networks to American Greetings Interactive three years ago, and I left at that point.

This is what happens when you screw up your whole roll of shots you took on one of the most beautifully clear and starry nights you can remember in an area where the light pollution is relatively nill.

Dont remember what i tried to do, but i failed at the attempt and this came out!

This didnt come out as I expected, I miss-measured the amount of sky / street decoration nets in the picture.

It was my first Holga film roll, so bear with me.

What makes it funnier is that I've taken EVA Air a gazillion times between Taiwan and NYC. Never failed! But I never rode the plane in the photo. Yeah.

Today my GP tried to remove my magnetic implant, but it proved difficult- it had migrated deep in my finger, and came apart as he tried to get a hold of it. Almost from the first incision before he got anywhere near it shards of the magnet started coming out, and it seems the main body of the magnet adhered to scar tissue. For now, and probably ever, it's staying inside.
