I should clarify: this design may be interesting, but it's not what I wanted and I'd rather move on to another design. My intention was to make a custom frame with flight in mind with inspiration from jed_september and squieu. But it ended up too tall and not really consistent in shaping.

Oh, before someone asks, the weird things stuck on the back are supposed to be flight pods or something like that.

EDIT: WHOOPS LEFT THIS PRIVATE.

so i reallllyyyy wanted to do a handstand picture , and only way i can do them is on the couch ,and i still suck at them ahah ,

this was the last one of like eight i took , my neck was going to snap and wrists were going to break lol .

Sigh... I had such high hopes for this strawberry-lemon marbled pound cake, but it was not to be. Smells awesome, tastes fine (apparently) but looks hideous.

Dorodango, attempt 1.

If you do not know what a dorodango is, please see www.dorodango.com

Its an interesting way of passing time. I now intend to at some point finish something that could at least be recognizable as a dorodango:)

Leigh and I went to see the Gunnison sage grouse at the Waunita Hot Springs Lek near Gunnison, CO. We drove 350 miles the night before and then got up at 4:50AM to drive to the lek from the town of Gunnison. We arrived at the viewing area about an hour before sunrise as per grouse lek etiquette. Unfortunately, this was the finest photo I managed (it has been brightened in PS - actually it appeard much darker than this to the eye), as moments after this was taken, a golden eagle swooped low over the lek looking for breakfast, and all the grouse few away. I do respect the bird's privacy, and am glad that the land has been preserved for their lek. However, 300 yards is too far away for good photos, and the sun rises behind the birds, so they would be backlit even if I could dial in on them. Maybe in the offseason a WW1 style trench could be built with cammo tarps on top that could give us a closer view and a chance for pics?

Dunno what happened to my title bar, but kids were involved...

click on it so you can see the note.

This is what happens when I try to take a picture of my white and unshaved (tmi?) legs. My flannel shirt gets jealous, and takes the spotlight. I know it's a waste of space for me to upload this since I don't have a pro account and can go up to only 200 photos (and I'm scarily close to that number), but I just had to share this. And I had to share the fact that I have... a blog... so if you wanna look at it, or just for future reference here it is: click me, i'm a blog.

...Yeah...

P.S. My title for my blog is like, eh, so if you see it and wanna make suggestion for a better one send it to me somehow! Like in a comment on my blog or even here. I'd really appreciate it actually.

My MacBook's optical drive failed Wednesday. Very sad - but at least it's still covered by AppleCare (one month and 12ish days before it expires!). I'm off to pick it up tomorrow (Saturday)!

Sadly, the Kamino Boyz didn't make it past the first round of the casting show.

Day 269 of 365

Together we created ten potential template designs for our toy prototype. This design is inspired by the aggravation one commonly encounters when accessing Twitter.

The 50x70cm poster "Dr.Fail" is our participation for the SEEAR Exhibition 2013 themed "Superheroes".

The brief was to create a character and visualize him through a poster.

-

The poster exhibits the origins of Dr.Fail through three basic timelines. Two of them are centered around his personal life and events, that inspired him to build machines and weird inventions, most of which failed miserably. The third timeline is focused on his relationship with Megumi, the girl who unwillingly broke his heart and transformed him to a super villain.

-

The idea behind the poster is not to show the character itself, but instead allow the viewer, through an emotional association, to visualize the character based on similar experiences. The color theme and the choise of the data circle, was inspired by the character's japanese origin, which is enhanced by the use of english and japanese languages for the legend and text of the poster.

It really did seem bigger than that when I was a kid. Check it out for yourself.

My first attempt and fail. scope is too far forward and will be taken off.

Caught this one with my iPad 2. Driving past a local home I saw this failed Xmas display in the front lawn. Inflatable Santa deflated ( looking passed out). Mickey and Minnie looking on condescendingly in the background.

Tagged, so 10 things which will fail to excite.

1. I just got my AS results back, and now i'm slightly more worried about my future than i was before.

2) A lot of the time I think about how great and easier it would be to be a boy.

3) If i could change my nationality i'd either be Canadian or some sort of Native American. I really don't know why.

4) Sometimes i find the floor more comfortable than the sofa...

5) I really want to cut my hair pixie short, but i'm scared to do so :S

6) Then again dreadlocks look rather cool, but no I wouldn't bother with attempting them.

7) Ideally to ride a motorbike would be great but the prospect of crashing and dying doesn't appeal to me.

8) I don't get contemporary art, because i don't think it IS art.

9) I'm annoyed at my dad for not speaking to me in Swiss-German since day one, as I could have been bi-lingual by now. But no.

10) And i can't think of a tenth.

By accident I posted this, not processed of touched out of camera. I'll just leave it for now. I shot a bunch and haven't touched them yet.

The 5800 camera has died, returning only a black screen for both primary and secondary cameras. Taking a photo gives the error "Unexpected error occured. Restart phone." That's a dealbreaker.

A Google ad fail from www.help2go.com/Tutorials/Windows/Registry_Cleaner_Review..., highlighting and circling of key items added by me.

Stripped Fail Gun down to bare frame to fix horrible issues. Notice how gloss finsh stops where grips begin.

An anonymous source submitted these to me as an example of how NOT to cool a machine room.

Yes, that is a box fan zip tied to a cable ladder, hanging under a cooling duct.

Fail.
