I just came back from a month long trip to Arizona to see the wildflowers which did not work this year as it was one of the worst on record so I decided to head for a place I have been wanting to go my whole life.
"White Sands" - and let me tell you it was awesome ! I got to spend four days there and saw the best sunsets of my life there,,
I even had a chance to get lost and get rescued by rangers at closing time !!!
Anyways, I did a little write-up on my experience at White Sands which can be read on the Photo Cascadia site here Photo Cascadia's Blog

The Space Needle is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world and is a treasured Seattle icon. Built for the 1962 World’s Fair—the Century 21 Exposition whose theme was “The Age of Space”—the tower’s futuristic design was inspired by the idea that the fair needed a structure to symbolize humanity’s Space Age aspirations. Since its grand opening on April 21, 1962, the landmark continues to symbolize the innovative and forward-thinking spirit of Seattle. Located at Seattle Center, the Space Needle stands at 615 feet (188 Meters) tall and is one of the most photographed structures in the world.

To explore new lands brings magic into your life
away from what you usually do
taking that risk to get lost in the trees
and finding yourself you never thought you would
so breathe, move your feet, go dance with the wind
go on top of mountains and feel the sea on your skin

PCA294 - Fire
Built a small fire in the backyard and then tossed in a old book I found in a dumpster. Upped the clarity and the shadows a bit. Cropped slightly. I took many shots of the book during its conversion into heat and light. I liked this one because of the way it morphed into some other entity before falling into ash.
