Lake of the Ozarks is a reservoir created by the 1931 construction of Bagnell Dam across the Osage River in the northern part of the Ozarks in central Missouri. The lake has a surface area of 54,000 acres, and 1,150 miles of shoreline. Most of its shoreline is privately owned.

My favorite hike trail, also the most challenging hike on my Rocky Mountain trip. It's a 20km one way in, one way out hike that encompasses almost 1000m of elevation gain. The last 2km is a scramble up the peak. If you want to find the secrets on the summits, here you are 😊

I've been working with a friend of mine who helps rescue pit bulls from the streets and place them in loving and responsible homes. I've had the pleasure of fostering this adorable guy and was able to find him the perfect home before he was placed into the wrong hands and/or senselessly put down. ♥

Talacre is a village in Flintshire on the north coast of Wales in the community of Llanasa.
It is near Point of Ayr on the west side of the River Dee estuary and has a sandy beach with dunes with large holiday caravan parks adjacent. The hills of the Clwydian Range behind the village form the eastern boundary of the Vale of Clwyd. The name Talacre is a combination of the Welsh words tal, meaning end, and acrau, meaning acres. In the north-east Welsh dialect, acrau is pronounced as acre.

Kolugljúfur Canyon is a stunning natural wonder located in the western part of Iceland. It is situated in the Víðidalur Valley, near the town of Hvammstangi. The canyon is carved by the Víðidalsá River, which flows through the rugged landscape, creating a picturesque gorge.
One of the highlights of Kolugljúfur Canyon is the Kolufossar Waterfall, which cascades down the cliffs into the river below. The waterfall is a popular spot for photographers and nature enthusiasts, as its powerful flow and picturesque setting make for stunning photographs.
As the sun begins to set, the cliffs of the canyon are illuminated, casting long shadows and creating a dramatic contrast against the deep blue sky. The colors of the surrounding landscape intensify, with the greens of the vegetation becoming more vibrant and the river reflecting the warm hues of the setting sun.
In summer at Iceland, sunset was about 11pm-12am, sunrise was about 1-2am, the night was too short. Always took sunset photos, then waiting for sunrise... Only 2-3 hours night (not really dark night) during summer time.

...an der Braunschweiger Hütte. Noch stehen die Sterne am Himmel aber in der Hütte gibt es bereits Frühstück. Mein Frühstück (Müsliriegel + Wasser) nehme ich hier draußen in dieser unfassbar schönen Szenerie zu mir und genieße die Stille des heranbrechenden Tages.
Im Hintergrund erkennt man im Westen den Kaunergrat mit seinen (altbekannten) Gipfeln Rostizkogel + Seekogel + Watzespitze + Verpeilspitze.

...at the Braunschweiger Hut. The stars are still in the sky but breakfast is already served in the hut. I eat my breakfast (granola bar + water) out here in this incredibly beautiful scenery and enjoy the silence of the dawning day.
In the background you can see the Kaunergrat to the west with its (well-known) peaks Rostizkogel + Seekogel + Watzespitze + Verpeilspitze.
