Barone Pizzini is a vineyard in Franciacorta with organic winemaking since 1997. Notice the recently picked grapes in the left corner.
“Organic viticulture” means that only substances found in nature or obtained from nature are used through simple processes to protect and feed plants in the countryside. No chemical processing or genetic manipulation, no GMO, fertilizers or synthesised chemical pesticides.
In 2012 Barone Pizzini received the award "Best organic wine in the world" at the International Wine Challenge.

Explore #269 9-25-08 Thanks everybody! Taken in our pumpkin patch. This is a pumpkin blossom. This blossom is about six inches in diameter.
Looking north over Royston at dusk from Therfield Heath.
The Johnson Matthey plant dominates the skyline. The lit up building on the left is Hamleys warehouse. The lights in the distance on the right are from the construction cranes at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, about 12 miles away.
Thanks everybody for the views and faves, I never thought a view over Royston industrial estate would go on Explore ! :)

Slicing up post-halloween pumpkins has been an ongoing tradition for the past 5 years.
This is the first year where I've been equipped enough to make something really cool out of it!
Unfortunately, (or fortunately), I haven't been able to figure out which of these three is the best and would invite you to leave a fave or comment to let me know which one you prefer!
I think each has their own strengths and weaknesses XD
I highly recommend you check out the SETUP SHOT

Niagara River -
This is a small portion the Niagara River just before it cascades over the American Falls. There is unbelievable power in every drop. Walking alongside the river one experiences constant excitement as the water crashes like ocean surf. The closer to the falls, the more energetic is the turbulence. The color of this Niagara water is amazing blue-green hue both on the river above and below the falls.

Pine stone is a rock phenomenon located near the village of Borovitsa, about 10 km west of the town of Belogradchik. It is a beautiful, more than 100 meters high cliff of red continental sandstone sculpted by erosion. The name of the place comes from the pines on its ridge, a large part of which, unfortunately, were destroyed in a fire in 2000.
After chasing CP 2816 down to Chicago, our group decided to hang around O'hare and wait out rush hour traffic along the Highway. As the last Metra for a while pulled away from the station we were sitting at in Wood Dale, we realized that we were pretty close to the old BN E unit that has been pretty heavily photographed. I, for one, hadn't seen it yet so we swung over. As all of us were checking it out, we came to realize that the flight path into O'hare that day led planes directly over the engine -- so we sat and waited for the next one to pass overhead.

I thoroughly enjoyed shooting in this area, the scale of the buildings, combined with brief respites in foot traffic, gave me some great opportunities
My oldest son Sam graduated from Purdue this weekend. A proud moment for us all. Here he is in his cap and gown giving his younger brother a pre commencement bear hug. I think we have the Christmas photo taken care of!

· [[How I took this photo ?]]
I put my cam on the tripod, and I choosed low shutter speed. I took a torch and I painted the word on the air. It was very funny!
