Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service as part of the European Union's Leonardo programme presented Kóka Volunteer Fire Service with a Volvo Fire Engine on 30 September 2009. The handover ceremony took place at the common courtyard of Kóka Mayor's Office and the Kóka Volunteer Fire Service Station. The British Embassy was represented by Deputy Head of Mission Dawn McKen at the event

One of the engines still to be found at the crashsite on Higher Shelf Stones, of B-29 Superfortress 'Overexposed'. The aircraft crashed whilst descending though cloud on 3rd November 1948 killing all 13 onboard.

Hundreds of residents enjoyed getting up close to vintage vehicles when the ever-popular Fire Engine Rally rolled into Johnstone at the weekend.
Big crowds descended on Houstoun Square for a full afternoon of family fun as emergency vehicles old and new gathered in the town centre.

Kellham Museum of engineering this engine used to run on town gas but it made the whole museum smell of gas so unfortunately it is now run by an electric motor.
