This event included many fun things including classic cars, free fifteen-minute tours of the plant where we got to see Chevy Silverados and GMC Sierras being built, dog relay races, treat trailers, and a few other things. It was completely free and really fun.

Released from Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia, PA on April 16, 1916 with 57 inch drivers and a operating pressure of 185psi. She worked on the Lake Superior & Ishpeming Railroad in in Marquette, Michigan as #34 until being retired in 1956.
She sat in the Marquette deadline until 1971, when she and #35 were bought by the Illinois Railroad Museum. In 1992 she was bought by the WMSR for restoration. She was restored in one year and had several improvements; a 200psi boiler and a new tender from a NYC Mohawk No.2662. She was renumbered and had several alterations made to bring her look close to the consolidation-type 2-8-0s that historically operated on the Western Maryland Railway (WMRY).

One of the Uchuck III's two straight-eight diesel engines. The only thing greasy or dirty about the engine room was the engineer's mouth.
This shed was full with almost 100 Portable Engines all awaiting restoration. Makes include David Plaxman, Floether, Foster Garrett, Lanz, Ransomers Sims & Jefferies, Marshall and many more.

The officer's side is symmetrical to the driver's side in terms of aesthetics. The directional arrow lightbar in the middle of the apparatus allows this vehicle to setup in different angles to control traffic.
Brand new Engine 104 arrived from Spartan ERV Tuesday, September 27, 2016. That same day, FDNY Battalion Chief Fahy died while operating at a structure fire in the Bronx. A couple days prior, Lieutenant Leach and Firefighter Fickles from the Wilmington, DE Fire Department died from injuries sustained at a collapse at a structure fire. Because of these terrible tragedies, the shop mechanics added the iconic FDNY stripes to this apparatus to commemorate those who have given their all!
Engine 104 replaces the current E104, which will be relegated to Engine 4. The addition of another suppression company was needed after statistics showed an increase in call volume. The design of this rig was to increase firefighter safety while operating at any scene. This is evident in the traffic control lightbar on the driver's side, the officer's side, and rear of the apparatus.

This was a particularly fun build as I combined many techniques into this rig. S/O to Paulo R. for ideas for the wheel wells, cab steps, and the SNOTed compartments! I didn't realize that I ran out of translucent red lights for the primary lightbar, hence the translucent black lights. I have not seen too many Spartan Transformer pumpers, so I decided to build one for fun.
Closer look at the RD-33 jet engine that was built into the MiG-29 Fulcrum, for example.
