365 Day 152. The pain of loss doesn’t get easier as you get older at all. It seems, with me at least, that it’s a cumulative thing. The Furrball Taz was a cat, just a cat, but her sudden loss, under a damn car, seems to have combined with every moment of sadness I’ve ever had and torn me to pieces!
“I am lost without you. I am soulless, a drifter without a home, a solitary bird in a flight to nowhere. I am all these things, and I am nothing at all. This, my darling, is my life without you. I long for you to show me how to live again.” ― Nicholas Sparks, Message in a Bottle
Today this Easter Sunday 2020 finds the set of barber chairs and the set of sitting chairs waiting for The Corona Virus to go away soon. Photo was created by putting my lens against the street window here in Oceanside, California.

As you sit there in your world
I ponder how to get in
Times almost up till i have no connection
What should I do to get in you mind
I've never heard of you
Then they put us in the same place
Your time spent with the hand held cingular
Unaware to the eyes focused
Your silence is noticed
Why make myself as mute
Days go bye there's an empty seat
should you return I shall speak
Wait you just walked in....

You came to the window to find an answer... You look at the sky, you look at trees, you catch the sunshine on a pavement, you notice shade dropped from the bench… Pretty flowers in the garden, birds and squirrels.... up and down.. One moment you think that you have found it but you can’t feel it. You just stood there looking for answers… until you find yourself staring at one spot, so lost and so tired…

Empty shops and business premises are a common sight on UK High Streets, but many vacancies are relatively short lived - the shops are soon in use again although in these difficult times, the new business may survive for only a limited period of time.
This collection portrays retail outlets that have been empty long-term, some for many years. In the past, all these have housed thriving businesses. Yet now, for some reason, they are empty and some are falling into a state of disrepair and dilapidation.
Each has its own story to tell. Some are completely empty, others seem to have stopped trading suddenly and appear like the Marie-Celeste, still with stock in the windows. In many cases, we can tell easily from the faded signage what business last operated from the shop. Others are a complete mystery with faded blinds or shutters and all signs removed.
