66 753 heads 4L66, Goole Glassworks to March up Yard empty sand train. It will be taken to Middleton Towers Sand Pit later for a refill of sand. Seen at Aliwal Road crossing, Whittlesea
Blackpool promenade on a Saturday night during the lockdown. This panoramic photo shows just how quiet it is all along what would normally be a busy promenade at this time. No people, no traffic & no trams.

An empty Fairlane train heads north at Burnett with a spotless -8 on the point. The hogger gives em a few notches as the train climbs away from the Cloquet River bridge.
This train would play prominently in our day later on.
Locomotive Services diesel D213 "Andania" heads empty coaching stock tailed by D400 (50050) "Fearless" from Bristol Temple Meads back to Crewe. It is seen passing the Woofferton Transmitting station, south of Ludlow on 28 February 2026.

The sun shines through a hole in the clouds, you see a spotlight on the water, so bright you cannot look into it. Forces of nature!
Sometimes you get lucky and there is a vessel in the spot… not this time, nothing but emptiness in the vast expanse.
Which I also enjoy.

Empty Sky is the official New Jersey September 11 memorial to the state's victims of the September 11 attacks on the United States. It is located in Liberty State Park in Jersey City at the mouth of Hudson River across from the World Trade Center site. Designed by Jessica Jamroz and Frederic Schwartz, it was dedicated on Saturday, September 10, 2011, a day before the tenth anniversary of the attacks.
