The return empty limestone train at Gowdall, with 66605 heading back to the Peak District on 5th April, 2007. Drax Power Station steaming nicely in the background.
Old summer's shoots. I found out I really like to shoot empty places. Kinda melancholic, I know.
First two photos: Canon AE-1 - DM Paradies 400/Kodak Colorplus 200 - Köln/Düsseldorf (Germany)
The last two: Zenit 122 - Kodak Colorplus 200 - Lignano (Italy)
An empty exoskeleton I found while shooting with the SBWR flickr group, outing #1
Hehehe err yeah I am such a procrastinator :P
A empty ethanol tank train rumbles thru Ulrich Park in rural Cedar Falls, Iowa. This train left Waterloo and highballed at much greater speed WB than I thought it would. Got to the Ulrich Park parking lot and the MP282 defect detector started squawking about this train. The crew blew the horn a couple of times and chimed their bell till I acknowledged them with a wave. They probably have never seen a rail photographer shoot photos on this stretch of track before. Ulrich Park has two active train lines bisect the park.

37 707 is seen at Manor Farm, Cholsey with westbound empty container flats believed to be heading for Swindon. It was noted and photographed an hour or two later returning with empty Butterliner containers destined for Tilbury Docks
As I drive through the western United States, I'm always impressed with how much unoccupied space there is. Sometimes this world can feel crowded, but there really is quite a bit of empty land on this earth.

ALL IMAGES ARE BEST seen On Black, yours too!
The sun shines through a hole in the clouds, you see a spotlight on the water, so bright you cannot look into it. Forces of nature!
Sometimes you get lucky and there is a vessel in the spot… not this time, nothing but emptiness in the vast expanse.
Which I also enjoy.
Have a lovely day and thank you for your time and comments, M, (*_*)
