Very quiet here this year, also I noticed there are less Xmas decorations too.
Texture is my own.
Taken on the last day the zoo was open to the public in March 2020. It was an empty day and just before all the schools were out for Spring Break.
Later that evening we got news that the zoo was closing in response to the pandemic, so we were glad we decided to go on Friday!

"On a long and lonesome highway, east of Omaha
You can listen to the engine moanin' out its one-note song
You can think about the woman, or the girl you knew the night before
But your thoughts will soon be wandering, the way they always do
When you're riding sixteen hours and there's nothing there to do
And you don't feel much like riding, you just wish the trip was through
Here I am, on a road again
There I am, on the stage
Here I go, playing star again
There I go, turn the page"
Well, I am more North of Carson City, than East of Omaha, but Bob Segar always seems to be dead on with all his lyrics.
This photo is taken about 750 miles into our little roadtrip and we are enjoying some great tunes (though I am getting sick of Greta Van Fleet.....Josh sure has an annoying voice in some of his songs) The car is doing well, the traffic is not bad and we are enjoying the sights.
"Empty Tables". The Howard Smith Warves, under the Brisbane Story Bridge, still waiting for the lock down to end. Normally the bars are very busy from sunset. Taken last week

Hello everyone! I'm back!
The last few weeks were like a really bad roller coaster of emotions for me and so I didn't touch my camera at all, but now I decided that it's time to get off this roller coaster and try new rides.
I want to bloom.
I lost 3 weeks in the 52 weeks project that I'm doing ("Let's get creative 2014") so I decided to cheat a little and count this picture as the 4th and 5th week (flowers and hats) so I could catch up (sorry for my laziness)
This is my local market place. On a Sunday it was almost empty. But on week days it's crowded, lively, bustlingly.
In the midst of an occasional series of 'People on Park Benches' I thought I'd include one sitting empty in the twilight rain...
The empty coal train is working through West Kilbride towards the Hunterston Import Terminal for another load of imported coal. The electrified line is for the Largs service.
man pulls along a crate of empty soda bottles, presumably to collect the deposit. Bacolod City, Philippines.
A weathered soul, a silent sigh,
A house stands lone against the sky.
Where once a hearth held warmth and cheer,
Now emptiness and shadows peer.
The wind whispers tales untold,
Of laughter lost, of stories cold.
Each broken pane, a tear that's shed,
For dreams and days forever fled.
A storm brews high, a tempest near,
Yet fate's decree has long been here.
The house endures, a steadfast stand,
A monument to life's demand.
The clouds above, a heavy shroud,
Reflect the thoughts that linger 'round.
A haunting beauty, stark and bare,
A house of clouds, a soul laid bare.

Why not take a photo of what's closest to you?
I'm calling this series a perspective: three different photos. From an empty subway station to a station with two outdated subway cars and two of a newer model. But see for yourself which of the three do you like best?
