The people on the Tricycle are returning empty soft drink bottles (in this case Mountain Dew) back to the Distributor in return for a deposit on the bottles.

WBD coal empty E PEKNAM0 54A hustles by rural Kirkwood, IL on the Ottumwa Subdivision with dead dinosaur empties for Wyoming. For years I pondered what kind of view the daring would have from atop those catwalks on the bin heads of these prairie elevators. Nice that I don't need to even think about experiencing those death defying heights in person anymore!
Another photo of the brutalist car park in Welbeck Street, Central London behind Debenham's in Oxford Street, built in 1970.
Note dated 7 March 2017. This wonderful central London brutalist building is sadly due to close on 13 March 2017. It's fate is unknown. Many people, including me, are hoping that it will not be demolished.
Update April 2019: This building is, sadly, currently in the process of being demolished.
This is the shot. This is the one I went on my last trip to get. This is why I got up at 6:00am on a Saturday in WDW. I couldn't wait to post this shot after I took it. I spent more time processing this photo than any of my other ones to get it just right - and here it is. I hope you like it! Please share it if you do!

Running on Empty

I don't know how many times you've run low on gas in the middle of nowhere. If you have, you know how stressful that can be. This is a night photo of an abandoned Buick and a gas can. What happened here? This is located in a very remote mining camp, the desert floor dark due to black basalt lava flows. Illuminated during the exposure by a full moon and a handheld ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device. A beautiful quiet night for photography.

Tonight we stopped at Liberty State Park. Here is one shot of the 9-11 Memorial called Empty Sky. Very moving tribute. One spot I will be going back to.

This photo is straight out of camera. I tried to apply a few changes, but when moving the sliders I kept going back to the original.
At first, I had titled the photo white flag. I decided to change it to empty, which mirrors how I feel as the country where I live and which I love, is leaving the EU. Although today I am feeling very sad, I hope that one in the future that lovely blue flag with 12 golden stars in a circle, will fly again in this country, alongside the union flag!
