Dragged myself out of bed to pop down to Chemical Beach this morning. I had to resort to my magenta tinged 5 stop filter for a bit of colour, but quite happy with this one following a bit of messing on.
While this abandoned farmhouse was empty of humans, it was inhabited by a large flock of birds who flew frantically away as we approached.
Der Platzhirsch DB Cargo verlor zum Jahreswechsel 2009/2010 die Kohleverkehre nach Chemnitz-Küchwald an Heavy Haul Power International GmbH (HHPI). Zugleich änderte sich auch der Bezugsort der Kohle für das Chemnitzer Kraftwerk. Der Brennstoff kam fortan nicht mehr aus Spreewitz, sondern aus Profen. Das eröffnete den Fotografen völlig neue Möglichkeiten. Allerdings muss ich zugeben, diese Verkehre nur sporadisch fotografiert zu haben.
Am 27.01.2017 war es 266 038 (intern 561-01) der HHPI, welche einen Leerzug nach Profen durch Leipzig Wiederitzsch brachte. Bei jedem Aufenthalt dort stellte ich fest, dass wieder etwas "fehlte".

Questa sporgenza nella parete di una casa di Procida nei pressi dell' imbarco ha sempre attratto la mia attehzione e l' ho fotografata in ore diverse e in anni diversi.
Riordinando le diapositive ho riunito le foto con analogo soggetto e mi sono trovato di fronte questa storia che va dal 1970 al 7980: nella finestra c' era sempre un uomo nello stesso atteggiamento fino a quando non c' è più.

CSXT train B762 has 96 empty tanks and two spacers trailing a pair of Gevos curling west parallel to US Route 20 at about MP 119.5 on modern day CSXT's Berkshire Subdivision, the former Boston and Albany Railroad mainline. This train originated at the Port of Providence at the Shell tank farm on the Providence and Worcester Railroad then was handed off to CSXT for furtherance west to Chicagoland and interchange to CPKC.
The Western Railroad of Massachusetts opened this segment of railroad for business in 1841, and pushing two centuries later the route not only survives but reigns supreme as the busiest and only Class 1 trunk line into New England. The Boston and Albany Railroad was formed in 1870 when the companies to the east and west were merged into one railroad linking its two namesake cities. Despite being leased by the New York Central in 1900 the B&A name survived for another half century. The NYC itself would become the Penn Central in 1968 and the line would pass to Conrail in 1976 and become the property of its current owner, CSXT, in 1999.

NS 7230 helps push empty autorack train NS 11N west through Cresson, as the train heads west to reloaded with cars in Detroit.

The atmospheric conditions were nearly perfect, but 3 chassis in the middle and the last one were empty as usual, whenever I visited…
