With 66532 dit on the rear, 66536 trails 6K64 1213 Thornton North Jn to Millerhill ballast empties along the Forth estuary near the village of Newmills.
The train is about to cross the wonderfully named Bluther Burn; the stone bridge to the left of the railway originally carried colliery tracks serving Valleyfield pit which was situated off scene to the left. The pit workings at one time were connected to Longannet pit and also to Bo'ness pit underneath the Forth. It closed in 1978.

I've been meaning to do more black and white photography, but it's still a rare occurrence for me, and limited to landscape work. I feel like it can be fun to use black and white to play around with shapes and symmetry (not that one can't do that with colour, but I have been finding it more natural in black and white).
The pedestrian streets of Chunxi Road, completely devoid of people in the pre-dawn hours of the night.
