We visited Bodie Ghost Town first thing in the morning. The road leading to it was treacherous, but our car made it. When we got there, it started snowing those little alpine snowballs.
One of the first places we visited was clearly a dump for this once-bustling mining town. The only things remaining were decaying cans.
Of course, it made me think how different our dumps will look in 100, 200, 500 years.
(Sadness re: film leader at the bottom.)
Was slightly emotional chucking my ancient Mac. Had it since 1995. I did phone the computer museum up the road but they said they have enough crap beige macs thanks.
These robots are located at the Eureka, CA dump and recycle area. There is about 100 yards of these sort of creations there.

I ran into the protest that was later renamed the Dump Trump Bowel Movement.
What better place to protest than The Trump Tower?
Despite a big red sign stating fines for illegal dumping, it is ignored. This this done out of spite?
Söndag kväll, 1/10.
Samtidigt som det rullar text till och med på kanal5 om att folk i landskrona ska hålla sig inne och lyssna på SR så puffar kommunen för Kemins dag den 7/10.
Clueless?
Thanks to my father in law Brian DeJong for scanning these older photos in for me. This one was probably around 1986.
Given the depth of field, these really need to be seen at bigger than screen size, but this will have to do for now.

"The tire dump" Pen and ink on 2 sketch book pages.
Tires pose an enormous environmental problem. as I doodled down this idea - meant to be in the context of a larger work about the environment, I couldn't help but find it fascinating...and almost pretty....at least visually.
My first submission - thanks for looking!
