It is rumored that James Cameron was inspired to make the movie Avatar after his visit to China. He apparently saw scenes that felt like he was imagining them. Wonder what in the world he was staring at.

In the abandoned ghost town of Bodie California, stands this Rusty legacy as a part of the History of the American Dream. I take comfort in knowing that all the American classic car lovers out there will gaze at this old beauty and continue to dream...aching to bring her back to life. The Dream lives on.

To dream that you are being buried alive could mean that you are being undermined or stifled in some way. You are being held against your will either in a relationship or work environment. Something you don’t want has you held you captive and it is unbearable.
It’s time for you to make some major changes. If its your relationship, it’s time to have a serious discussion and even try couples counseling before making the decision to leave. If the job seems like a dead end, its time to start working towards promotion or a new job. Make sure you know what is making you unhappy and change it “Pronto”!
Let us show you the world of dreams:

Imagine... A little wooden shack nestling amongst the sand dunes along a deserted stretch of beach. The only sounds, the gentle lapping of the waves on the shoreline. A morning spent beach combing, bringing back the precious finds and decorating the hut's one windowsill. An evening sitting in quiet contemplation with a good book and only a candle for lighting. A good meal, perhaps fish you've caught yourself and cooked over an open fire on the beach. Sleep, restful deep sleep, lulled by the sounds of the waves, dreaming of a little wooden hut by the sea... Imagine...
We returned to our holiday home in the far north of Lancashire today. I'd had a small operation for skin cancer last week, and the stitches were removed this morning. So we quickly packed and headed north. There had been quite a bit of rain up here - something they badly needed. The roses had taken a battering, but I couldn't resist taking a shot of this one. It's a patio rose called Living the Dream. Very appropriate!
Moon over Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. The great thing about shooting RAW instead of JPEG is it affords a lot more flexibility when post-processing. Because I wasn't able to take a few shots and bracket for an HDR image, I had to push the RAW file to its limits.

I want to thank each and everyone who took the time to visit my little space here on Flickr. Have a super day!
If I dream everything I wanna be, if I dream all the possibilities
If you just believe in your wildest dreams they will come true, they will come true
A beautiful spot in the Florida Everglades. Taken in February 2008. Yes there were aligators in here so stay alert while you dream.

Hanging by the window,
the dream catcher waits,
to catch me a dream, that’s hopefully great.
Quiet and still, it waits in the night,
to catch a dream, traveling in flight.
Its web is of leather, its feathers light,
the magic it works, carries great height.
Will it bring me a lover, a funny story or song?
or, will it bring nightmares
where everything goes wrong…
The time is now near, for me to lie down
and wait for a dream that’s happy and sound.
Dream catcher, dream catcher,
caution you please,
my heart is now calm, my mind is at ease..
Per chi ha tanta voglia di creare e sognare....come me:-)))
Questo è un mio lavoro, uno dei tanti!
by Ik-Joong Kang.
"A major installation by Ik-Joong Kang, one of South Korea’s most renowned and celebrated multimedia artists, Floating Dreams is a compelling, large-scale installation situated in the centre of the River Thames by Millennium Bridge. Constructed from 500 drawings and illuminated from within, the three-storey-high lantern structure acts as a memorial to the millions displaced and divided during the Korean War (1950-53), and a poignant symbol of hope for the reunification of North and South Korea. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbT8s0rAZ6I
One of my very fave…just magic…
Maybe because I love horses more than every other animal…yes more than dogs too…
Maybe because this is the only movie that makes me feel something more than any other one…
Maybe because it’s just in my dreams…
Well…In the movie the kid has a little horse like this…
And he was told about the story of Bucephalus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucephalus)...
I know I tried this kind of shot with my cat but I needed to do this again!
Have a magic Thursday my friends!

Sweet dreams!
* As if I need to explain myself, but it appears that on Flickr many people do not understand that the choices photographers make also can include soft focus. A sharp photograph here would have destroyed the kind of light I wanted coming from this window (enlarge the photograph to see its luminance). There is also the serious issue of peering into someone's room without their permission. So the choice was obvious. I will continue to make the photographs I wish to make - this is part of a series of 65 photos on suburban dreams - and if you do not like them then may I kindly ask you to refrain from visiting my page! Thank you to those of you who understand that there is more to photography than reproducing what can already be seen with the naked eye.
As I explained in the description to my "Suburban Dreams" slideshow, each of these photographs are related to the other. www.flickr.com/photos/luminosity7/52638166831/in/datepost...
They are not random shots, but each tells us one more thing about the nature of a typical modern working class suburb. I always work in series, but this collection was most definitely planned. The twilight setting and light is all part of the creation of a mood. Is it possible to find things of beauty in the midst of the mundane and ordinary? That's more about philosophy than photography. And why I am such an odd fit for Flickr.
