Location: Vondelpark, Amsterdam.
Artwork in the public space as a response to the new right-wing coalition in the Netherlands. A minority government consisting of the conservative-liberal VVD and the center-right CDA, tolerated with the support of the Party for Freedom, a party whose main focus it is to halt especially Muslim immigrants. Or street art as a reaction to the overall increase of nationalism in Western politics and public opinion.
The languages used are taken from the top five of migration to the Netherlands, concerning Non-Western countries. Derived from 'The Migration Map', a report by the Research and Documentation Centre of the Ministry of Justice. The countries: The Netherlands Antilles & Aruba, Turkey, Morocco, China and Suriname. The (official) languages: Dutch, Papiamentu, English, Turkish, Arabic, Mandarin and Sranan Tongo.
Besides the visualization of a bureaucratic disposal of dreams the work can be interpreted more general as well. Or, as a representation of dreaming as purifying activity, as the processing of the stream of daily experiences. Or contrary, dreams as waste from the impressions which we receive every day...

An unintentional dive it was into the world of photography three years ago. Focus and blur seemed to be synonymous then, ISO gave the goose bumps which a UFO might have given! I used to stare at those fortunate ones who were lucky enough to own the boon of GOD, a DSLR while I kept telling myself, "its not the right time, some more patience..."
Days passed, months passed and so did years and this urge of holding a DSLR became stronger. Some supported while some others didn't. Lucky I am to have a stronger share of support in my life and it truly feels like being a blessed one as I close an eye and focus with the other to shoot this!
Yes, its my first professional camera, a NIKON D3000.
I'm more than glad to say, "My dream finally came true...."

"Dream", a 66ft. high sculpture just north of the M62 in Bold Forest Park, St Helens, about 8 miles east of Liverpool. The sculpture is sited on an old spoil tip of Sutton Manor Colliery which closed in 1991 and it overlooks the motorway.
Here I am, in Stockholm. Having dreamed about coming here for years. . . . I'm getting used to it. . .
