As a was a student, about half a century ago (!), I had an impressive dream. The next day I took a coloured pencils and made this drawing . It is still on my wall.

Kao studentica, prije oko pola stoljeća (!), usnila sam dojmljiv san. Sljedećeg sam dana uzela bojice i naslikala ovaj crtež. Još stoji na mom zidu.

Hanging by the window,

the dream catcher waits,

to catch me a dream, that’s hopefully great.

Quiet and still, it waits in the night,

to catch a dream, traveling in flight.

Its web is of leather, its feathers light,

the magic it works, carries great height.

Will it bring me a lover, a funny story or song?

or, will it bring nightmares

where everything goes wrong…

The time is now near, for me to lie down

and wait for a dream that’s happy and sound.

my heart is now calm, my mind is at ease..

Oggi si è fatto vedere il sole, a Trieste, anche se le temperature sono ben al di sotto di quelle stagionali, ma ciò è bastato per farmi sognare mari lontani e più caldi, così ho pensato di postare questa foto di Tenerife, colta in uno di quei pochi momenti in cui il sole aveva bucato la cortina di nubi che ha guastato la mia ultima vacanza

Today I am happy for having seen the sun, in Trieste, although the temperatures are well below the seasonal ones, but that was enough to make me dream of far and warmer seas , so I thought to post this photo taken in Tenerife, captured in one of those few moments when the sun had punctured the curtain of clouds that spoiled my last vacation

Returning to the city in my dreams, it is mysterious and strangely beautiful. I know it and yet it is new to me - unsettling yet almost familiar. It reminded me of this quote from a favourite novel: “In my dreams of this city I am always lost.”
