In between the two photos, my daughter snipped about 3-4 inches off my hair. It is much lighter now (weight wise) and feels so much better.
It seems like half the locs I back-combed in have fallen out, but I can feel them in there when I poke around.
Now...how many girls will stop me on the streets...oh man, what a wonderful thought

Beautiful Swimsuit Bikini Model with Blonde Dreadlocks in Sea Cave with the Tide Coming In !
She had pretty blue eyes!
I was shooting stills & video atthe same time, and you can see the video of the goddess in a sea cave here! youtu.be/hTRiSlvevgg
She also modeled the Nikon D800E + Camcorder 9shooter Rig I used: www.flickr.com/photos/herosjourneymythology45surf/sets/72...
Nikon D800 E Photographs of Classic Swimsuit Bikini Model shot with the brand new Nikon D800 and Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II AF-S Nikkor Zoom Lens.
Captured in both RAW and JPEG.
Modeling the "Gold 45 Revolver" Gold'N'Virtue swimsuits.
Love the super sharp Nikon D800E !
And I have one final question--should I call shooting stills & video @ the same time 9shooting? 45surfing? 45windsurfing? What would you call it? 45surfing kind of makes sense as the gun represents the intermittent firing of the shutter, while the surfboard represents the smooth wave of continuous video. :) But what do you think? Please do share!
The day after I redid the back I ended up up doing my whole head apart from the fringe. The sectioning probably isn't brilliant, but I largely went with what felt right and made sure they weren't too big. I'd rather have skinny dreadlocks that I can combine than trying to rip apart a lock that's too fat.
I love the way this is fading, but not entirely sure that the blue suits me. Think I preferred the green.
Started doing some twist & rip on the long side bits of fringe that were starting to section themselves.
The joy of fading dye yet again. Two months since the last colouring and the little pot of blue is calling to me. I'm also contemplating ordering some henna powder for a more permanent option as the more I look back over my timeline, the more I think that red was the way to go. I've also used henna in the past over my natural hair colour and it worked well. Not entirely sure how the green tips would react, but I need to do something.

Chilly this morning. Still doesn't feel cold enough to be this late in November.... makes me wonder if we're going to end up with a snowfall like last year being suddenly dumped on us.
Mum saw me without anything covering my head yesterday and told me to brush my hair. I think it was an automatic reflex.
Bad hair day?... Nah... I can finally look at myself in the mirror first thing and make myself smile.
Dreadlock pics and how-to info can be found in my book: Dread Mama: Beautiful, Natural Successful Locks
Still messy but individual sections are clearly seen. I'm really starting to enjoy windy days when I can let my hair go and encourage some of those knots.
Did some more work to this drawing this morning. I can see it as turning into a mixed media piece. Much more layering of colors to go.
It's not easy trying to frame a photo in the mirror. This was the best outtake. The others were of the ceiling, mirror or faucet. Sheesh.
Age 6 months and 1 day. :)
Finally! After many days of combing the meadow and the woods, I found a Whitetail Buck shedding his antler Velvet. Although Blueberry was about 70% finished when I came across him yesterday, it was still a grand opportunity to witness this annual event firsthand. So cool! I spent a few hours near him while the process completed so I captured many photos and video clips - will share more in the coming days. Not sure that I posted the best quality image from the batch but time was very short this morning.
Although my main goal is to find one when this shedding process begins, I still feel fortunate to have gotten this opportunity. There is still some time yet this week to maybe get another opp with another Buck, but if not, there is always next year :-)
One thing I learned from this that I did not know: they actually eat the shedded velvet.
HDR -- 3 brackets from a single RAW (-2 | 0 | +2) merged and lightly tone mapped, slight crop.
