Demolition after Implosion to weaken the structure for final tear down. If you gotta see your ponies race you still have Del Mar and Santa Anita race tracks to go see them run. Now that this demolition is taking place people are hopeful that we'll get a NFL team coming back to the L. A. area. Hmmm foot ball, golf, tennis, baseball.... sorry I rather watch grass grow, what we need is a drag strip, a motocross park, monster truck stadium a low rider park and show car arena all rolled into one.

Canadians protested Bill C-51 on March 14, 2015 in cities across the country.
The proposed Bill C-51 legislation should be of concern to all Canadians. It would clearly allow for the violation of Charter Rights, facilitate spying on innocent Canadians, and create a secret police force with little oversight or accountability.
We are demanding the government withdraw the legislation. We are further demanding that any subsequent legislation meet with rigorous public dialogue prior to being tabled.

The government is about to ram through a "secret police" Bill C-51 that is:
1. Reckless: It turns CSIS into a ‘secret police’ force with little oversight or accountability.
2. Dangerous: It opens the door for violations of our Charter Rights including censorship of free expression online.
3. Ineffective: It will lead to dragnet surveillance and information sharing on innocent Canadians that even Stephen Harper has admitted is ineffective.
On March 14, people gathered in communities across Canada for an emergency day of action to stop the government’s "secret police" law.

"We want to be free... Free to ride our machines without being hassled by the man!" It started out with old classics and lowriders and Harleys converging on the bridge and a car show broke out. Then some knuckle head brought unnecessary attention to the whole thing by lighting a smoke canister / bomb. From the distance I guess it looked as if some one was doing a burn out. The L.A.P.D. comes and breaks up the show. But as the photos prove the SHOW still went on.... UNDER THE BRIDGE.
In memory of George Stamouvlasis 1928-2013.
George you will truly be missed. He immigrated to the U.S. from Greece. In 1965 he and his wife opened up Capitol Burgers on the corner of Pico Blvd and Victoria Ave, in Los Angeles. He served up the best pastrami sandwiches, french fries/chili fries and chili dogs in town. The burgers were excellent but they took a back seat to his pastrami sandwiches. In my opinion "Johnny's Pastrami" in Mid-City - Los Angeles, and "Johnnie's Pastrami" in Culver City and "The Hat" in Pasadena and Simi Valley can't touch "Capitol Burgers" pastrami sandwiches.
George's family still runs the place, so drop by and say hello and grab a pastrami sandwich or burger or both.
No Stinky, I did not tag this , then took the picture. It was all ready there.

L.A.P.D. Jay Stephen Hooper Memorial Heliport is located on the roof of the Piper Technical Center, the world's largest rooftop landing pad. It is located between Los Angeles Union Station, Chinatown, and Downtown. It is home to the Los Angeles Police Department's Air Support Division which is the largest police aviation unit in America with 19 helicopters.
The Fort MacArthur Museum is proud to present what has become one of our most popular signature events. The Great Los Angeles Air Raid of 1942 is the museums celebration of one of the most fascinating and controversial events in Los Angeles History. A night when literally thousands of people both Military and Civilian were convinced that Los Angeles was being attacked from the air, and even from space!!! What really happened that night is a debate that will probably go on for years, but for those of us it's a time to remember the feeling of those early days of the World War II.

Might as well include a bubble machine.
* A line from the fictitious book 'Church of the Universal God', read aloud by Officer Bill Gannon (Harry Morgan) in the Dragnet episode The Prophet, and later sampled by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult in their song Electrical Soul Wish.

Thank you.
There are over five thousand men in this city who know that being a policeman is an endless, glamorless, thankless job that's gotta be done. I know it, too. And I'm damned glad to be one of them. quote from

Found some more photos taken with my old ROLLEI ROLLIFLEX 35 MM SLR of the '92 L. A. Riots, laying in a box. I can kick myself that I didn't sneak a few shots with my camera while the mayhem was going on. I was busy ducking and dodging and running red lights to avoid trouble. Almost all the pictures you see were taken on the third day of the riots when the authorities started to gain control.
I tip my hat to the journalist that were in the thick of it, they got some fantastic shots.
It was the first week of school after summer and some knuckle heads do a drive by on a group of teens walking down the street across from Crenshaw High. Two were hit but thankfully no one was killed.
The cowardly perpetrators that shot this young man don't need a reason.... Pay back.... mistaken identity.... wearing the wrong colors.... walking by your self..... walking in a group.....maybe he looked like a rival... so lets just Blast him any way..... what you looking at?..... hey lets not forget the young deaf woman and young deaf man that were gunned down when they were signing one another because the dumb ass thug thought they were throwing up gang signs. Our justice system is too slow, we need to execute these cold blooded murderers, execute them even if their victim lives so they can't contaminate the rest of the planet, OHH I'm sorry did I say something politically incorrect? Ask me if I care.
While out and about racing up and down the streets of L.A. running my errands, I crossed paths with a movie set crew a couple of times on Angeles Vista Blvd in the View Park / Windsor Hills area while headed back to my domicile in the Diablo Mesa dark side of town. I popped off some photos and did a little of the- "get outta here you don't belong"- snooping around. Then LO AND BEHOLD !! some Paparazzi show up after I start taking photos randomly. The one celeb I caught was a crappy job on my part trying to get a shot of Joey King in a pink wig. Of course the people that knew what they were looking for got all the good stuff. I think the photo I got of the young lady is a double for Joey King. Those that follow this stuff can correct me if I'm wrong. In the actual shoot they replace the double with Joey & her pink wig. " Wish I was Here" will be out in Sept. 2014

Revelation 5:12
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
This kid did a gr8 job of converting the truck to right hand drive.
Cops took over(Well the show is over and everybody took off. Some went to cruise nite meet and greets others went on home or to grab late nite grub.)
You throw a party and that badge gets in the way. All of a sudden there isn't a straight man in the crowd. Everybody's a comedian. "Don't drink too much," somebody says, "or the man with a badge'll run you in." Or "How's it going, Dick Tracy? How many jaywalkers did you pinch today?" And then there's always the one who wants to know how many apples you stole.
While in my back yard helping my handyman with some work he was doing I heard a lot of cars blowing their horns right before the crash but when my air compressor came on little did I know that was the moment of impact. The driver of a white Ford van going north on the south bound side of Crenshaw Blvd. struck 2 cars with the Lincoln and it’s occupants receiving the brunt of the force from the collision. The couple that were in the Lincoln had to be freed from their vehicle with the Jaws of Life by the L.A.F.D. The crash which took place around 2:25p.m.Tuse. 9/30/15 at the intersection of 54th street & Crenshaw blvd in the Angeles Mesa area near Leimert Park of South L.A. The driver of the gray Cadillac was uninjured and the driver of the van and driver and passenger of the Lincoln are reported to be in critical condition per NBC News. The investigation was reported as still on going to determine why the van was traveling the wrong way.
