This was earlier than the other two shots, and the moon looked beautiful, although on these photos, it looks like the sun! It was so bright, that you can see the shadows on the field...
KÖHlor Your World; Same Same but Different

Most things around us are peas from the same pod -- Portrayals modified onto various skins. Agree?
In urban dictionary, this would perhaps translate to a 'Same Same but Different' phenomenon.
I was inspired by the KÖH Lamp that manifests itself in the form of the ubiquitous 'jerry can', or jerry canister. Taking a walk in the neighbourhood, we would ever so often see these containers in its different forms, but do not pay much attention as we go about in our daily lives.
Historically, jerry cans were designed to contain fuel, but have since lent its form and function to contain daily liquid we use, or even consume.
In cosmopolitan Singapore we often see fruit juice and milk contained in plastic containers that are shaped 'same same but different' as those old-time war cans.
One can also spot these lookalike containers along factories, petrol kiosks or provision shops. These would likely contain liquid detergent or dishwashing liquid. In another skin, these plastic containers are used to store water for gardening in our Housing Development Board (HDB) estates.
In this incarnation, the jerry can turns the expected into the unexpected, by morphing into a lamp.
Take a look at this series, inspired by how the 'green' from the lamp mingles with the urban environment it lights up.
See, imagine and follow how the lamp's illuminating light replaces another element – water, dancing out of the canister and eager to break free from a definite shape, turning a familiar, immediate world into an unfamiliar, alternate world.

It's different... it's unusual... I like it.

SB-24 @1/16, manual mode in a Lastolite EzyBox, camera left and slightly up, and a bare SB-27 at the wall behind to lighten it up a bit, both triggered with a Cactus V4.

Closer in. This is the only license plate, unlike TIV1 which certainly on occasion had two, and from different states depending on whether you looked at the front or the back!
Just something a little different from the normal shots of of the Lincoln Memorial.

Believe it or not, when I turned to the other side, it was a totally different scene. I did a 9 bracketing shot, hoping that I could blend out the maximum texture of the sky.
The final image is a result of tone mapping of 9 bracketed shot and conversion into mono~
So I realized that the way this is cropped makes the tail look like a mini elephant face. With the tail being a trunk. Thought it was kind of funny.
African Bush Elephant (Loxodonta africana), as opposed to an African Forest Elephant. These huge giants can weigh up to 15,000 pounds! Our two females, however, are much smaller (only around 10,000 lbs!). African elephant females and males both have tusks, whereas only the males have tusks in the Asian subspecies. Tusks can be up to 8 feet long and weigh from 50-100 pounds!

This is a photograph from the 6th running of the East of Ireland Marathon series in Longwood, Co. Meath, Ireland on Saturday 6th May 2017 at 09:00. This East of Ireland Marathon Series also featured a half marathon race and a 10KM race. The races were run in good weather conditions - dry conditions but a tough breeze to contend with on various parts of the course. There was a wonderful atmosphere amongst all of the runners and the looped course meant that every passed by the race HQ every 5KM.

The explaination is very simple.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

This is a little different perspective of a stream that I shot while in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in TN. I was climbing over these rocks to get to where I was planning to shoot and saw these cool looking rocks and thought, why not shoot this? I liked the moss and the rhododendron blooms on top of the distant rock.
