This is a picture I have to give credit for. I was looking through the "24 Hours of Flickr" photo pool when I came across this lovely little composition of matchsticks by Nadiobolis. For some reason (possibly my recent poem about time ...) it made me think of clocks, and given what time it happened to be, this is the image that came out.
Exposure was lowered and photo was cropped tighter in Adobe Photoshop Elements.
I had a weekend that was so fun and inspiring in so many different areas of my life.
Old friends and darling new friends, old places and new experiences.
visiting a castle in the summer i thought i try something different than just your usual "sight-seeing-photo"
i like it.

i hate this lens, and no, it's not the 50mm.
it's some old sigma lens, sigma 28-80mm? not sure. if i had it in front of me i'd tell ya.

i just bought 2GB RAM to upgrade theThinkPad, thinking i could transfer its 1GB into the 2-year-old Gateway laptop, which had only 512MB of RAM. but no! both memories are 200-pin SO-DIMM but one is DDR and the other DDR2, incompatible. technology moves fast, but this is too fast.
Following behind a station stopping DMU, 66143 and 66003 approached slowly around the curve to the signal, with the signal aspect being something other than red, then accelerate west on the Down with 6B33 Theale Puma - Robeston Sdgs. It's 66s all the time on freights on this line, now the Class 60s are gone, something different for now from the designated 66/6's used on this working and also the use of 66/6s on other freight trains on this line.

Although my legs are getting a bit better, it’s still painful to sit for more than half an hour or so. The problem started over a month ago when I injured my knee while running and was forced to sit even more than the usual large amounts of time I spend sitting (at the computer). Now my body is saying, “No more sitting! Get up and do something!”
When I injured my knee, and HAD to sit, I couldn’t do as much street photography as I wanted while visiting my daughter in Brooklyn. So I sat by the window of her apartment and took shots of people as they walked by the graffiti-endowed building across the street.

While the kids were at camp, we stayed one night with Edison at the Mara Siria Tented Bush Camp. This is for the people who consider a Days Inn "roughing it". Our tent had two rooms, the bedroom (which was 3/4 of the tent) and a bathroom. Our meals were splendid and the staff went over and beyond just to try to please us (even though we were already pleased). At night we could hear all the different animal noises. Dan helped us learn to identify the different ones. In the morning Edison and I were walking the path to the dining area to watch the sun rise over the cliff and we had to walk around several large piles of fresh zebra poo. The camp isn't fenced in, so at night we were required to walk with a guard because of the wild animals.
The 5:00 to 7:00 group of swimmers at the Claremont club are busy doing their warm up laps. Different strokes can be seen.

This tulip, with its pointy petals and flaming colors, was by far my favorite during my visit to Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.

7Stories is a locative literature project written by Matt Blackwood with artwork by Csilla Csongvay.
7Stories uses QR codes to deliver story experiences in the places where these stories are set. Across seven different locations of Melbourne's CBD, the narrated stories of nine-to-fivers, homeless men, wannabe skaters and Romanian refugees can be heard via scanning each street sticker QR code with any smartphone with a QR code reader app.
