to finish of the tasks for this unit we had to create an image which we could use to promote the channel 2 weeks before it's release day. They suggested we used a celebrity endorsement and to think about what people actually want to see on there screens. i used rapper 'Nicki minaj' and i played about with her image until i had this exciting feel to it. i began creating the background with different gradients and lighting effects untill i had a nice contrast between light & dark blue. i then added a cut out of Nicki minaj that i had cut out earlier and began adding her body showing her arms and legs. i feel the colours inspired me to add coloured shapes around it.
While looking at these kids- the boy with a toy Army Soldier and the girl with a baby doll- a thought crossed my mind. Wouldnt it be interesting to observe, how these children develop on their own, if they remain totally unaware of the usual preconception that boys are supposed to play not with dolls but with army soldiers and vice versa..

I went for the man-made / natural difference. The heavy, old, rusty, scratched, grey-brown metal of a crane - the embodiment of power and force. And then the light, fresh, delicate, pure, green-white plants and blooms - vulnerability and defencelessness.
Which way will the crane move tomorrow morning, as that will decide the fate of the flower?
