The brain science is clear. The youth brain is uniquely different than that of an adult. That reality has profound implications for how we educate, discipline and nurture our children in our schools, justice system and our community.

This conference featured a series of brief, dynamic and interactive presentations from some of the leading experts in the field on this important topic. DMPS was well-represented as Superintendent Ahart, Principal Craig Leager, and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant Stephanie McFarland spoke to the crowd of approximately 800 in attendance at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.

Learn what’s happening locally and, most important, learn what you can do to create a safe community where every child counts!

Minor back thrust developed in Ordovician interbedded limestones & shales in Kentucky, USA.

This outcrop is in the famous Cincinnatian Series of the tristate area of Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana. Rocks in the Cincinnatian were deposited in relatively shallow marine facies during the Late Ordovician. The Cincinnatian succession is mostly interbedded limestones and shales - all richly fossiliferous. Most of the limestones are event beds (= tempestites), deposited during ancient storms.

A subtle thrust fault is present here at this outcrop, along with small back thrusts, which dip in a direction opposite to the main thrust fault.

The main thrust fault acted as a conduit for groundwater, which dissolved out a small cave along the strike of the fault (see: www.flickr.com/photos/jsjgeology/31949022868).

Thrust faults are low-angle reverse faults - they form by compressional stress. Thrust faults involve the hanging wall moving upward and the footwall moving downward.

Stratigraphy: Fairview Formation, Maysvillian Stage, middle Cincinnatian Series, Upper Ordovician

Locality: Maysville West upper cut - roadcut on the southeastern side of Rt. 62/Rt. 68, just south of bridge over Lawrence Creek & south of the Harsha Bridge over the Ohio River, northern Kentucky, USA (~vicinity of 38° 40’ 04.23" North latitude, 83° 48' 07.08" West longitude)

Developed.... Anchor Mill and Gatehouse, taken when the Gatehouse was still in disrepair and the Mill was part way through re-development. Both buildings looks fantastic now fully developed and with a new fresh lease of life... (just shows what can be achieved)

After developing 30 rolls of B&W film, I am back to digital for color again.

Developed to replace the 75 and based on the parent company Fiat Group's Tipo Tre platform, the 155 was somewhat larger in dimension than the 75 and had evolved styling from that of its predecessor. The 155 was designed by Italian design house I.DE.A Institute. An exceptional drag coefficient of 0.29 was achieved with the body design. The boxy design of the 155 allowed for a big boot space of 525 L.

The most significant technical change from the 75 was the switch to a front-wheel drive layout. A four-wheel-drive model called the 155 Q4 was also available, which had a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and a permanent four-wheel drive powertrain, both derived from the Lancia Delta Integrale; it was essentially considered to be a Lancia Delta Integrale with a different body.

The new model came in "Sport" and "Super" trims. The Sport had a slightly lowered ride height and more aggressive dampers while the Super had the option of wood trim and electronically controlled dampers and seat controls.

The reception of the 155 was generally lukewarm. The 75 had been conceived prior to Fiat's acquisition of Alfa Romeo, so as the last automobile independently developed by Alfa Romeo made it cast a shadow over the 155; the loss of rear-wheel drive was frequently cited as the main cause of disappointment. Nevertheless, the 155 was entered in Touring Car racing and was very successful in every major championship it entered, which gradually improved its image.

Fuji Green X-Ray Film @ ISO 200

Developed in Dektol 1:1

I think a lower contrast developer might be needed. Also, this film could be shot at a higher ISO than 200, I'm thinking 250 or 300.

Sharpness is decent for a film with no anti-halation layer. The latitude is good on the negative, but the high contrast nature makes it difficult to print all of it. The film base is actually a reasonably good thickness, but the emulsion is a bit soft when wet, but gets hard when dry.
