Winchester developed from the Roman town of Venta Belgarum, which developed from an Iron Age oppidum. Winchester's major landmark is Winchester Cathedral, one of the largest cathedrals in Europe, with the distinction of having the longest nave and overall length of all Gothic cathedrals in Europe. The city is also home to the University of Winchester and Winchester College, the oldest public school in the United Kingdom. The city's architectural and historic interest, and its fast links to other towns and cities have led Winchester to become one of the most expensive and desirable areas of the country.

Color reversal, so first develop with BW developer, then with RA4 bleach and fix. (EP2 is not really made for RA4 but it works)
I once bought a big box of expired color paper, Labaphot, it appears to be from about 1989, it is EP2 paper which came before RA4 paper. I thought if would be worth to see if could be used for some experiments. So I started yesterday look what it can do still. Color paper is normally not known to be that long active. In any case after the UV flashlight which I all processed in light, today I went for the darkroom. Turns out the paper still has good active silver and the coulor couplers work except yellow seems to missing fully.
This is my first time developing my own B&W 35 film.
I used TRI-X 400 Film, the pic was took with my Rollei B35 @ f/16, 1/250. The film was scanned with with my Canon 6D + Canon 135mm lens + Kenko Tubes (12+20+36).
Late afternoon light and shadow in Miller Canyon spill down the hillside and onto the trail, in transverse lines behind and filigree in front. The trail forms a loop with a convenient shortcut across it farther on, but sometimes we run short on time or Cookie the chihuahua's legs get tired, and rather than completing the loop, we walk back the way we came, as we did this day. Fortunately, the trail always looks different heading in the opposite direction, and the dogs, who sniffed one side of the trail heading up, get to sniff the other side heading back :-)
Camera: My dad's old Six-16 Brownie Special (1938-1942), a metal viewfinder/box camera which was his first camera, and after he progressed to an Argus C3, became my first camera. The camera's native 616 film (8 images, 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 in. in this camera) has not been available since 1984; I substituted 120 film, using Holgamods 616/120 spool adapters. The slightly narrower width of the 120 film (2-1/4 in.) accentuates the panoramic dimensions (in this case, vertically) of the 616 format.
Film: 100 ISO Arista.edu Ultra 120, developed in Arista Liquid Developer for 7:40 minutes @ 68 degrees, scanned with an Epson V600 scanner.
I developed some very expired 110 and 126 film for someone, and helped with a 35mm point-and-shoot, getting a new battery installed and donating and loading a fresh roll of film. I offered to develop and scan the film once she was done also. These were also brought in.
This box had one 110, one 127, and three 126's cameras; unfortunately, I told her shooting these would be difficult, since film for these would be hard to get and develop, so best to use 35mm. For the most part, I think these can go to someone who wants decorative pieces or props.

I think I needed a bit more time and agitation on this roll, and to be honest, I used Foma 400 developing time, because I think this Flic Film Ultrapan 400 is re-spooled Foma.

“THE WET” AND “THE DRY” IN THE NORTHERN AUSTRALIAN TROPICS
The Northern Tropics of Australia in the Darwin region are described as having only 2 seasons – the “wet season” (or simply “The Wet”)(broadly November to April) and the “dry season” (or simply “The Dry”) (May to October). There is no local designation of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, although it should be noted that some ancient local indigenous calendars describe up to 8 seasons, categorised by not only weather but also flowering and fruiting of edible plants, appearance of migratory animals as food sources, river heights, etc.
While Europeans settled Darwin in the 1860s, indigenous Australians have occupied the area for at least 40,000 years.
In broad terms, the main differences between the Wet and the Dry relate to humidity levels, prevailing wind direction, and (as the names imply) rain, or the absence of rain.
Darwin has no frost, no snow and no hail. Darwin is also largely flat and unelevated, with few locations exceeding 30 metres above sea level.
THE WET – NOVEMBER TO APRIL
During the Wet, temperatures range from a minimum of 27 – 28C overnight (sometimes not dropping below 30C) and 34 – 36C during the day. Humidity levels are in the range of 75 – 95%.
The prevailing wind direction is from the North West (i.e. from the Timor Sea), except during the frequent storms, which normally come from the South East.
Cyclones (the local name for a typhoon or hurricane) also form during the Wet as part of monsoon trough activity. The wind from a cyclone can come from any direction, depending on the relationship between the cyclone’s eye and the observer’s position.
Rainfall during the Wet approaches 2,000 mm; with the record for a 6 month Wet season period being 3,000 mm. It should be noted that due to quite obvious climatic changes these totals have not been reached in recent years and this may herald a permanent change to the local climate.
Sea temperature during the Wet is around 32C.
THE DRY – MAY TO OCTOBER
During the Dry, temperatures range from a typical minimum of 20 - 21C overnight (on rare occasions dropping to 16C) and 30 -31C during the day. Humidity levels are in the range of 10 - 30%.
The prevailing wind direction is from the South East (i.e. from the direction of the Great Australian Desert); with an occasional light North West sea breeze rising in the late afternoon.
The sky is largely cloudless, with the occasional cumulus cloud rising above wetlands or generated by bushfire smoke.
There is virtually no rain between April and October.
Because of the absence of rain, a high bushfire danger exists throughout the area during the Dry, with the highest risk occurring in August and September, before the next Wet season storms occur. During these months, the humidity is very low and the South East winds are at their strongest – up to 30 knots (around 55 km/hr).
Bushfire smoke blows out to sea and causes spectacular sunset effects.

Well, hello everyone :-)
Just had a mad hectic week in Townville & Mackay for work.
This was my first time to Townsville & fortunately for me a flickr friend arranged to met up with me & we went for a short drive to The Strand & spent an hour or so together with tripods & cameras inhand
This shot was taken just on dark.
Cheryl, I loved meeting you, & I really appreciated your precious time.
Thank you
I didn't get to see a whole lot, but you live in a beautiful city

(This is developed from the raw file. Mistakenly uploaded the Jpeg file last night.) Little light, showers this evening at Stillwater. Note to self, met a couple on bikes, Terry and Michael, regulars on the trail, casual birders. Two weeks ago, they saw an all blue colored bird on the trail to the south, across the hwy. After a discussion and showing them pics on bird app, they ID'd the bird as an Indigo Bunting. They have not seen it since.
Folkestone (pronounced /ˈfoʊkstən/) is the principal town in the Shepway District of Kent, England. Its original site was in a valley in the sea cliffs and it developed through fishing and its closeness to the Continent as a landing place and trading port. The coming of the railways, the building of a ferry port, and its growing importance as a seaside resort made the town grow. However, business has declined. The beginning of high speed rail services for commuters on the HS1 line to London St Pancras has cut the journey time from London to less than an hour. Folkestone now has the only sandy beach ["Sunny Sands"] and coastal park within an hour of north London.
