Hoorn (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦoːr(ə)n] (listen)) is a city and municipality in the northwest of the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. It is the largest town and the traditional capital of the region of West Friesland.[5] Hoorn is located on the Markermeer, 20 kilometers (12 mi) east of Alkmaar and 35 kilometers (22 mi) north of Amsterdam. The municipality has just over 73,000 inhabitants and a land area of 20.38 km2 (7.87 sq mi), making it the third most densely populated municipality in North Holland after Haarlem and Amsterdam.[3] Apart from the city of Hoorn, the municipality includes the villages of Blokker and Zwaag, as well as parts of the hamlets De Bangert [nl], De Hulk and Munnickaij [nl].
Hoorn is well known in the Netherlands for its rich history.[6] The town acquired city rights in 1357 and flourished during the Dutch Golden Age.[2] In this period, Hoorn developed into a prosperous port city, being home to one of the six chambers of the Dutch East India Company (VOC).[6] Towards the end of the eighteenth century, however, it started to become increasingly more difficult for Hoorn to keep competing with nearby Amsterdam.[5] Ultimately, it lost its function as port city and became a regional center of trade, mainly serving the smaller villages of West Friesland.[5] Nowadays, Hoorn is a city with modern residential areas and a historic city center that, due to its proximity to Amsterdam, is sometimes considered to be part of the Randstad metropolitan area.[7] Cape Horn and the Hoorn Islands were both named after this city.[8] Wikipedia

Wont it be good when this particular wasteland is re-developed. I believe there is a fabulous plan by a world-class architect. Will it go through? Over the head of the couple in the centre you can just see the end of Burton Arcade. If the couple keep straight on they will enter this strange space on the way to the Leeds Shopping Plaza.
Images shot for Studio 101A in Amherst NH
It's been my pleasure to develop a friendship with newly formed recording studio Studio 101A in Amherst NH.
They wanted some photographs done of some of the bands and musicians who have recorded albums in their studio, and I got a chance to shoot NH singer/songwriter Katie Rose.
I need to shoot more people barefoot. I love it.

outside Heather Shouse's book release party. we got a great lightning storm and unbelievable downpour to go with our meatballs.
In the next photo shoot, I took another photograph using multiple flash photography with the aim to improve the lighting. I feel that this image works better than the previous as the light catches the elongated neck, emphasising vulnerability, and the strained figuration creates a sense of desperation. I also did an oil-based mono print of this image, exaggerating the the tonal contrast by removing ink in only the lightest areas.
I employed similar low camera angles as in Jenny Saville's painting, "Propped" to create extreme foreshortening, and the gripping and clenching of the skin to represent an an insomniac's frustration. Another compositional device I used was creating a triangular shape with the legs and head to lead the viewer's eye between each painting. I also wanted to create tension through a contrast in tone in the fabric, and that the black material didn't allow this. For the final contact sheet of photographs, I wore a grey t-shirt and bare legs instead of a predominantly black attire, ensuring that the clawing and digging into the skin was visible and subsequently more unsettling for the viewer.
In my test piece for this series, I used quick and energetic strokes with a palette knife, as well as dark mark-making that encircles the subject, inspired by William Turner's painting 'After the Deluge', creating a tense and claustrophobic atmosphere.

My fourth roll of home-developed film with the AGO processor. CineStill BwXX black-and -white film, developed by me in CineStill Df96 developer/fixer for 4 minutes. Scanned with an Epson V600 flatbed film scanner. Had the ASA set wrong on the camera and I had a hard times using the dull and "smudgy" rangefinder patch for focus. This will be obvious.
