The Kooka laugh caught my attention, so I grabbed my camera quickly. I know from experience, they don't stay long & fly off if you approach them. I was lucky to get the shake of the feathers (next image) , then next shot showing fluffier feathers.
I went down to the river late this afternoon to make some images. I had packed up and was starting my walk home when I saw the moon through the trees growing on the river bank. The dusk light was turning blue from the pink it was earlier on the eastern horizon (opposite to the sunset).

AAW - Dec. 7-14 Theme-Square Format - I shot this in the local park. This place has been deserted but still standing. I like the shadows and decided it reminded me of a dream. Brought out the shadows.
While Hanukkah is in full swing, those of us who celebrate the winter solstice or Christmas still have several days to go. This year it seems that people are looking for a little more light in the darkness of winter than usual. Seasonal displays of lights have gone up earlier than I seem to remember – even in our house.

Sydney skyline, the morning of our last day in city. The Sydney Harbour area has been built up with beautiful walk ways and parks, providing many photography spots.
