A trailing shot of the RHTT. taken from the temporary footbridge at Jumble Lane, the crossing having closed in March 2019 - the bridge will eventually be replaced by "Market Gate Bridge", which will provide a link to the substantial "Glass Works" redevelopment scene, the car park of which can be seen to the R under construction - an amazing 3D jigsaw, if ever I saw one!

Taking the Leica D-Lux 5 for a walk. This camera was released in 2010. I'm still impressed by its output, despite technical specifications which are now well outdated. Comments welcome !
These photos were taken on Dec 3rd, and there's been snow on the ground pretty much since then. Except on Christmas Day ...
This afternoon's walk took us down to the lake, as usual, but today the lights were on in the railway station at Needham, and reflecting off the lake!
Good to see that repairs have been carried out on the island to the right of this shot, with the bank shored up; so with any luck the visiting Great Crested Grebes will be able to breed and successfully rear their young, after two years of being flooded out! Fingers Crossed!

The guy taking the picture is Rob Sheridan, NIN's art director and official photographer. I'm taking a picture of him taking a picture of Trent. I bet there is someone behind me who took a picture of me taking a picture of Rob taking a picture of Trent. And behind him there's someone taking a picture of him taking a picture of me taking a picture of Rob taking a picture of Trent. And so on and so on and so on, like a fractal that never ends.

37507 heads down the Colne Valley with the 6E45 Glazebrook to Haverton Hill tanks. 37507 became part of the DRS fleet and re-numbered 37605 but is now stored out of use on the Great Central Railway where I believe it is to be used for component recovery.
Tras descender desde Forcella Cier, tocó atravesar este valle glaciar que comenzaba justo en este punto (a la espalda de esta foto, sólo hay una pared de piedra, es decir, estábamos en pleno circo glaciar). Una nueva subida nos aguardaba, para llegar al Cristo del Crespeina.
La ruta iba por su cuarta parte, y los kilómetros de subidas y bajadas empezaban ya a hacer mella en las piernas...
